Korean store - global credit cards payments

Hi everyone,

We launched our Korean store not long ago. The company is registered in South Korea.

We have a local payment provider (KG Inicis) but they do not provide global card payments such as VISA or Mastercard. We have a few international client who would like to buy on our website, which is why we need a credit cards payment feature.

We tried PayPal but they do not support KRW, which is why we are searching for another solution because our website needs to be in KRW for our local clients.

We also do not have the multi-currencies option because it is not available in the Korean shopify.

Do any of you have an alternative to PayPal ? I contacting a lot of payment gateways who do not support KRW or are asking for registration and maintenance fees which we cannot afford at the moment.

Here is a list of all payment providers available in South Korea. Just type South Korea and it should show you an exhaustive list.

My advice for finding the right payment provider is to go through the list I linked at the top and research the different gateways’ fees and features. This will help you find the best fit for your needs.

Also, do reach out to shopify support here https://help.shopify.com/en/support/support-type
They will be able to look at your case and find the best solution.
