Lack of sales

I have ads on Facebook & Instagram but have seen no ROI since mywebsite went live in July 2025. What am I doing wrong? I spent $14K for this website and getting little or nothing in return!

Hi @user195312

Welcome to the community, but sorry to hear about the lack of sales. But you are not the first with issues, and my first advice is to search communty for “no sales” or “zero sales” as well as " store feedback. Gather some general ideas, but also some useful things that you could do to improve your site.

And please share your store link so we can see what is going on.

what link is that? i’m newat this…

would it be www.bcloutdoors.com or something else???

Hello,

I’m new at this. What is my store link consist of? Is it just www.bcloutdoors.com or something else?

Check your website url. Can’t look at if it doesn’t work… you mean https://bcloutdoors.com/ The www makes your link broken.

Onto the website. How did you spend 14k? All I see is synced products from some dropshipping scheme. It’s not a very good site either, you got the description in the title, images in the description, big and small font, it’s a mess :joy:

Logo the size of a grain of rice. You’re still using Gmail. What on earth did you spend money on? It wasn’t products, it wasn’t business structure, and it certainly wasn’t website design… right…. You spent money on ads trying to trick people into buying from you. You need to go do something else cause this ain’t it.. Stop wasting your money. You ought to be yelling and cursing every 1d1ot who ever told you this is a good business strategy.

Yes that is a link. Thank you.

But, sorry to say, it looks very basic. Some work is done in building a catalog and menu but rest is classic dropshipping store that have nothing special to offer.

And maybe 5 years ago this would be fine, or now with some massive advertising on social networks maybe you could get some orders. But people know now how to chek products, compare on other sites and buy more affordable. Any item could be purchased on AliExpress or other markets that have more trust.

And I said basic, because your store is using default, free Horizon theme. Which is not bad at all but have some noce features, but not as much as some paid themes. But besides menu, product descriptions, there is not much to offer. And to be frank, I am not sure on what you spent $14k, for that you should get much more.

Why it is basic and do jot have much trust for people to buy, whell there is nothing personal about you, but also no business info. Just a Gmail email which is not too professional.

Like I mentioned, search for store feedback and you will find stores with same problems.

Still I wish you luck and some sales.

Hey @user195312

You spent $14k on a website and got what looks like a basic dropshipping store. That’s rough, and whoever built it for you didn’t set you up for success. Let me tell you what’s actually wrong and what you need to fix.

Your cart has a slider setup, which is something, but you’re not using it to actually drive conversions or increase what people spend. Add a progress bar showing how close people are to free shipping or a discount. When someone sees they’re twenty dollars from hitting that threshold, they’ll add another item. Without that visual indicator, they just check out with one thing or abandon completely.

Show complementary products in that cart. When someone adds an item, show them related products that make sense together. Help them see what else you have without making them navigate away. This increases your average order value, which matters a lot when you’re trying to recoup a $14k investment.

Don’t install separate apps for each cart feature. You’ve already been burned financially. Something like iCart handles all your cart customization in one place, keeps costs reasonable instead of bleeding you with multiple subscriptions.

But here’s the brutal truth. If you’re running Facebook and Instagram ads since July with zero ROI, the problem isn’t just your cart. Your store probably doesn’t communicate trust, value, or why someone should buy from you instead of Amazon. Dropshipping stores are everywhere, and most fail because they look generic and unreliable. What makes your store different? What’s your value proposition? If you can’t answer that clearly, no amount of cart optimization will save you.

Whoever charged you $14k should have built you a store ready to convert traffic, not a basic setup that needs major fixes. You got taken advantage of. Now you need to either fix it yourself or find someone legitimate who can actually optimize it properly. But don’t throw more money at ads until your store is actually ready to convert that traffic.

You can try to import reviews from Amazon, show them on your products, to check if it can help you with sales

You already have a welcome discount code, but since it’s only shown in the bar, a lot of visitors might miss it. A simple welcome pop up when people enter the site would make the offer much more noticeable and easier to use.

You can keep the message short, show the code clearly, and guide users to shop right away. Later on, you could also combine this with a small bundle or product suggestion to encourage higher cart value without feeling pushy.

If u want, I’m happy to explain more or help you fine tune the setup.

Hi there @user195312!

That’s understandably frustrating. From my experience helping other Shopify websites improve their ROI, one tool I strongly recommend is Hotjar. It lets you see how real visitors actually use your site, not just the numbers. You can track where people click, how far they scroll, and where they get confused or drop off. This makes it much easier to spot issues and apply the right fixes, so your ad spend works harder instead of going to waste. It’s been really helpful!

Also, Hotjar offers a free plan, which is usually more than enough to get useful insights for your website

Hope this helps! Any feedback is welcome
