Hello - we have the language selector working from the header on the desktop version of our site although when we try on mobile, it doesn’t show. Double checked “Show language selector” is ticked on the theme editor although it makes no difference. Theme: Prestige.
Topic summary
A user reports that the language selector in the Prestige theme displays correctly on desktop but fails to appear on mobile, despite having “Show language selector” enabled in the theme editor.
Troubleshooting attempts:
- Another user suggested adding CSS code to
theme.cssto force display of.localization-selectors - This solution did not resolve the issue
Outcome:
- The original poster decided to keep the language selector in the mobile side menu rather than the header to avoid congestion
- No definitive fix was found for displaying it in the mobile header
Status: Unresolved, with one additional user reporting the language selector not working on either desktop or mobile for their store
Hi, it’s:
Hi @CostaEffie
This is Richard from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App, I’d like to suggest this idea:
Online Store ->Theme ->Edit code
Assets ->Theme.css
.header-sidebar__footer .localization-selectors {
display: block;
}
Hope you find my answer helpful!
Best regards,
Richard | PageFly
Thank you - that didn’t work but it’s OK in retrospect we will keep it where it is in the side menu as adding to the mobile header will be too congested. Thanks everyone!
Hello,
what is the solution?
Thank you!
Hi, there was no solution. The language selector on the mobile version is in the side menu which we were OK to accept.
