Still trying to find a way to support customer lay-aways in a retail store. Something basic, but Shopify does not offer? Anyone figure out a work around to this?

Native layaway is not available on Shopify POS, although it allows customers to make partial payments.
You can use the Layby for POS app to manage in-store layaway or simply keep track of deposits and schedules using any spreadsheet.
Advertise layaways with defined conditions through signs and emails to clients.
Try Layby for POS and Lay-Buy in automating and assessing these two aspects of laying away goods.
