Line Item Property is lost when using Amazon Pay on iPhone

When people use Amazon Pay in Safari / Chrome on iPhone, the Line Item Properties that were reflected in my cart disappear.

When adding a product that includes Line Item Property in the product option information to the cart using Safari or Chrome on iPhone (other browsers not confirmed) and selecting it for Amazon Pay payment, the Line Item Property of the product disappears.

I’ve confirmed the following

  1. it’s not happening on PC (macOS, chrome)

  2. it occurs regardless of the timing of Amazon Pay selection (before entering the shipping address and at the last payment selection)

  3. Apps related to Line Item Property on my store don’t seem to affect.

  • I am using Upload-Lift. However, the problem persists even on pages that don’t use it.

  • The problem originally occurred when using Infinite Options, and I suspected a bug in the app, so I switched to writing directly to Liquid, but the problem reappeared.

  1. confirmed with the developer of the theme Impulse that the checkout issue is outside the scope of the theme.

  2. I asked a question on Shopify’s Japanese forum and was advised to contact the English forum or Amazon Pay support.

  3. I contacted Amazon Pay support and they replied that it’s a Shopify issue.

Does anyone have any information on this?

the problem is still happening… also our app relies on custom attributes set on the cart, that need to be copied over to the order, but whenever we try to use AmazonPay the cart gets redirected (and I think a new cart is created) and the properties are not copied over…
