Hi, I wanted to see how I could like multiple products with a drop down menu. Example: Click on to a product, there is an option with other types of products in a drop down menu, if you select any of those products, it will take you to that product page. How can I do that?
Hey Mike,
You can definitely create drop-down menus for your store, see here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/menus-and-links/drop-down-menus
For example, you could make a menu called “T-Shirts” and then when someone clicks on “T-Shirts” from the main navigation menu, you could have options that show in a drop-down under it for:
-
Men’s T-Shirts
-
Women’s T-Shirts
-
Kid’s T-Shirts
-
Baby T-Shirts
Also, depending on which theme you’re using for your site, the theme may have additional built-in navigation/mega-menu options, for including images and more customizable options (so that it’s not just plain-text).
You can view a list of Shopify themes that support ‘mega menus’ here: https://themes.shopify.com/themes?features%5B%5D=mega-menu&sort_by=most_relevant
Hope the above helps point you in the right direction! ![]()
Cheers,
Stephen
I’m not aware of a way to do that, other than as product variants. It also doesn’t make much sense to try and do. If you wanted to list a bunch of products that each have their own product page, then it would be better to create a collection and then customers can browse the products w/ images, and click into the one they’re interested in.
You can use King Linked Options to create product groups and add related products to them.
