Linkpop: The page you’re looking for couldn’t be found

Hey Team,

I am not sure for how long but our Linkpop page is not longer live, which is a bummer as we use it for in social media such as TikTok to refer potential customers to our site.

Our link is https://linkpop.shopify.com/crystallogicshop

The page returns:

The page you’re looking for couldn’t be found

Check the web address and try again, or try navigating to the page from home.

See screenshot below:

We have a handful of apps installed, but aside the Shopify Barcode app, nothing installed recently.

Did anyone run into the same issue? I have only found 1 thread with a similar problem, from 2020.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, @Cyclops1717 . Thanks so much for taking the time to bring your situation to the Shopify Community today. I hope you’re doing well. It’s great to meet you!

We appreciate you coming to the Community here with your Linkpop situation. I tried the link you’ve provided here myself, and ended up getting the same error as you, letting us know that your issue isn’t something local. I have a few things I need to ask you here, just to get some extra context, so we can then jump to some next steps. Can you please provide me with the following information:

  • Are you able to login to Linkpop from your Shopify Admin without any issues?
  • Can you check out this resource here and make sure that your Linkpop setup isn’t impacted by any of the ‘Important Considerations’ listed on that page. Here are those considerations listed for you below:
    • You can create only one Linkpop landing page associated with an email address.
    • When you create your Linkpop landing page, make sure it matches your Shopify account owner email.
    • Your Linkpop landing page URL can’t be edited after it has been created.
    • Your Linkpop landing page URL is a permanent URL. If you delete your Linkpop landing page, then you can’t recreate another page using the same URL.
  • When you login to Linkpop, can you double-check to make sure that the URL you’re using is listed correctly?
  • If possible, can you also share with us what ISP you’re using, and where your store is located?

I was doing some digging earlier into some additional support requests regarding this issue, and it appears that this error is sort of a ‘blanket error’ for a couple different things, which could range from ISPs blocking the URL, or simply needing a refresh from our side. The context you’re able to provide us should help us look into what next steps are best here!

If you DO have any trouble accessing Linkpop via your admin, try using this link here to login. Using this URL, and then double-checking the Linkpop settings and ensuring that things are set up as needed, as led to this error being resolved for some, so I’d love for it to do the trick for you here!

Get back to me when you can with the requested information, and after trying out some of the suggestions, and let me know how things go. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for your reply!

Hi @Imogen_1

Thank you for getting back to me.

Quick update:

I am able to access my Linkpop page from my phone as well as from a browser on my computer.

BUT, I cannot access it from the Linkpop Admin page and I think I understand why:

Issue #1:

On the Linkpop Admin page, the link displayed is not the link embedded. (See screenshot below)

linkpop.shopify.com/crystallogicshop versus linkpop.com/crystallogicshop

Clicking on that link leads to the error page.

Issue #2:

The Copy link “button” leads to an error. (See screenshot below)

So, not out of the woods yet, but at least my customers are able to access the Linkpop Page from our Social Media accounts.

Below are answers to your questions:

  • Are you able to login to Linkpop from your Shopify Admin without any issues?
    • Yes, no issues accessing the Admin side of Linkpop from the Shopify Admin.
    • But, no luck accessing the Linkpop pages from the Admin (See screenshots above)
      • I am not understanding the above: The Linkpop page (“Profile page URL”) is created in the Linkpop admin.
    • The URL shared on Social Media is indeed correct and accessible by the public. The error comes from the link in the Linkpop Admin.
  • If possible, can you also share with us what ISP you’re using, and where your store is located?
    • Our ISP is Frontier. Our website is www.crystallogicshop.com. (online retailer only for now. Working on a brick & mortar location)

I would be surprised if this were affecting only our account, since the 2 issues listed at the top of this post seem to be Shopify code-based.

In any case, thank you again for looking into it.

Hey there, @Cyclops1717 ! So sorry about the delayed reply here. I’ve been out of the office but I’m back in now so I’m following up with everyone I’ve missed over the past few days.

Thanks for following up with those screenshots, and all of the requested information. It makes working through this and doing some troubleshooting on my end loads easier, so I appreciate it. :slightly_smiling_face:

So I did some heavy digging in here and this is a pretty unique issue. I checked out loads of additional support tickets and resources and internal chats just to see if I could find any other examples of this particular link problem and I couldn’t find much or anything. I did find some information suggesting trying this link to see if it loads the LinkPop Admin with the expected link. Another suggestion was to uninstall and re-install the LinkPop Channel - but I always advise holding off on this before reaching out to the Live Team, getting yourself authenticated, and making sure that this is the right move.

Considering that the loading issue is related to the link, and there’s a link copying error, I suspect that there is some sort of memory mismatch within the app that’s making the admin page think that the link loading there is the correct one, while we know it’s not. There’s a really good chance that our Marketplaces Support Team can look into this and quickly resolve it for you (could just require a data refresh from our end) and that could set things straight.

I’m going to recommend that you try the link I provided above, and if it doesn’t do the trick, then reach out to the Live Team using this link. Explain to them that the LinkPop link in your Admin is being wonky, and that a Staff Member from the Community Forums suggested connecting with the Marketplaces Team for some troubleshooting. The advisor you connect with will be able to touch base with them in real-time, and get some info.

While I had the time, I checked out your store and it’s honestly amazingly well made and very professional looking. I spend so much time looking at stores daily that when you see one that actually makes you want to explore, it’s always a treat. You have all of the proper relationship building pages uploaded, the right style of pages for SEO purposes - you really have an awesome storefont.

How are you finding marketing? I noticed that you folks do a bit of advertising on TikTok, but no links to Twitter on your website! I wanted to suggest picking TikTok again, just to flood it with videos about your products. Honestly, doing ‘order packing’ videos is a great way to get views, as people LOVE watching that content (for some reason!). Twitter is also an untapped goldmine of marketing for you, too! I have a solid resource here on Twitter Marketing, if you’re interested.

If you have any questions for me, or want to chat a bit more about your business, just follow up with me here and let me know!

I have this same issue and cannot figure out what the issue is. The link no matter where I click it leads to a “not found page”. It was working fine for the first few days I created it and then started doing this. The link is linkpop.com/bigguyapparel

Hey there, @justinmiller . Thanks for taking the time to follow up on this thread regarding your LinkPop issue. It’s good to meet you!

I appreciate you providing the link that you did! I copied your link, pasted it into my URL bar, and the LinkPop page loaded without issue - so it appears that everything is fine!

It seems that yesterday there was an incident that was impacting LinkPop loading properly. That issue has since been resolved, so you shouldn’t be having any more issues. If you are, please follow up with me here and let me know!

Genius idea for a brand, by the way. Incredibly smart branding, and versatile, too. The ability to insert any word between ‘Big Guy’ opens up so many opportunities for product ideas. Have you thought about tailoring products around upcoming Holidays?
