Liquid code changes not appearing on live site

I am making a few minor changes to main-product.liquid (our theme is Concept), however any changes I make, no matter how simple, are not reflected on the live site. I have emptied browser cache, and tried loading the product page from several devices and different browsers. Just to eliminate the possibility of a code error, I removed the custom code I added and simply changed the name of a button from “plus” to “pluss” just to see if I could get any edit to appear live… but no luck. The changes are saved in the code editor and are still in place when I exit and return back to view the liquid file.

I confirmed that I am working in the current/active theme. I’d offer to paste code or a screenshot, but this isn’t really about any specific code… it’s just basic publishing functionality.

Can someone help me understand why even the most rudimentary changes to a liquid file would not appear on the live site? Url is stemandquillflowers.com.

That sounds strange but as per my experience there is no such issue in Shopify.

btw make sure you are saving the changes before checking them or make sure the file you are editing is in use.

So your site is basically 2 pages – homepage and a “apply for account” form page?

If yes, then main-product.liquid is not used there. The product on the homepage uses the “Featured product” section and this can be a reason.

Otherwise – screenshots would help better understand what’s up.

Also – do not work with live theme – make a copy and publish it, then play with the original, and publish it only after you’re happy with how it works.

Editing live theme is a way for disaster and “urgently help me” posts in the forum.
