Liquid code to remove padding/space between header & template

I was trying to remove space between the header & body of my shopify store using an already-given solution on shopify community. I made changes in base.css, but I don’t know what’s going wrong.

So please help me out.

I’m using Studio theme (13.0.1)

Step 1: Go to Shopify Admin → Online Store ->Theme → Edit code

Step 2: Search file theme.liquid

Step 3: Insert this code above
