Local business that uses Shopify we want to partner with to dropship from our Shopify store

First priority problem:

Local wholesaler uses Shopify plus they sale retail. We want to work together and offer their products on our shopify website and have them dropship the orders. How do I configure this and do I need a integration app for this even though we both are on shopify? We would want to segment the payment of the purchase of their products so it pay them the wholesale cost amount plus the shipping then we get the other portion of the payment.

www.harvickfarms.com for reference and it is the products by Elder Farms

Ex: elderberry syrup cost $22 plus $3 shipping

Their wholesale price is $13 plus the lets say $3 shipping = $16 gets paid to their shopify account and shipping is setup that they received the email notification and the shipping label. They (the supplier) already has all their shipping cost calculated in shopify so I would just want to pull that information they already have to display on our website.

My store then gets the remaining $9.

I use Spocket to dropship other items and I go into the spocket app once the order is made and confirm the payment was received. Then functionality works in that manner where the customers payment is separate to pay the supplier and I get the remaining amount.

Second problem but lower priority:

In addition, I will have some of the products in our retail store so I will need to keep track on my own retail supply as well. I believe I can just create a separate product and have it on the retail POS sales channel only to solve that problem. If anyone has a better/more efficient solution I am all ears.

Coming at this from the wrong side, this is typically an initiative your supplier has to do , you cannot just choose to integrate with them when they do not have an integration themselves in the first place they have to work out the process as well.

Shopify does not have native shop to shop integration features only the apis for facilitating it.

More than likely you need to invest in building that integration app yourself for a custom need.

Or luck out and find , some app in the orders/payments categories that fits the use case.

Unless of course your just using the other business a a custom fulfillment service

Try to keep posts to a singular topic/issue it just muddies things and tends towards bad answers and makes is harder for other merchants to happen upon your post to have the possibility of sharing insights.

Especially if it’s for completely different aspect such as POS or inventory instead of the current payments forum.

Addendum there is Shopify Collective for retailer(s) & supplier(s) collaboration however it has a revenue requirement of $50k/12mths for both the retailer(s) & supplier(s).

  • Your store made at least 50,000 USD in the last months 12 months.

I am unable to find that app in the Shopify App Store. How can I use it?

The seller meets that requirement on Shopify but I just recently transitioned from Square to Shopify. I meet that yearly gross revenue requirement but it was on a different ecommerce platform. I would like to proceed with this option but what would be the next step.
