90% of our local delivery orders are B2B. B2C doesn’t need a coffee bean delivery on the same day, so they normally choose postal delivery but restaurants do. I learned that this feature isn’t supported with b2b which is a bit hilarious.
Until this feature comes asap, does anyone found a work around for this?
This I can do already in Shopify itself. But the problem is that the shipping option “local delivery” isn’t available when a b2b customer is doing the checkout.
I added now a checkbox “local delivery” in the b2b checkout with Checkout Buddy. This field is only shown to b2b customers. Then I made a flow which tags the order with “local delivery”. So at least the fulfillment team know it’s a local delivery. But I can’t change the delivery method with shopify flow. So it still stays “postal delivery” but we work the the order tag for now…
