Can anyone help explain how the Local Feed Partnership feed shown in Google Merchant Center is populated?
Our Google Merchant Center show 2 feeds…
{1) “Content API” and (2) “Local Feed Partnership”
If I add the “Google & YouTube” sales channel to an item within Shopify, the item will be included in the “Content API” shown in GMC almost immediately. However, our current Local Feed Partnership data feed only has ~118 items whereas our Content API ~4500 items. What determines whether an item is included in the Local feed partnership data feed and how do I include more items? I would have thought the # of items in the Local Feed Partnership data feed would have been around the same as the Content API item count.
From my understanding, I thought both of these data feeds were transmitted from Shopify to GMC. We do have the Google & YouTube app installed on our Shopify site and have connected to our Google Merchant Center.
Any help that provides a better understanding of the setup would be much appreciated.
