Location order placed

Previously, Shopify used to inform us about where an order was placed from and what the delivery address is, along with the distance between the two. For example, if someone placed an order from the UAE and provided a delivery address in Pakistan, we could clearly see that the order was placed from the UAE and the delivery address is in Pakistan. However, this feature is no longer available. I request Shopify to re-enable this feature."

Hi @Ahadazhar ,

I think your request is not gonna be approved by Shopify. I think they want to minimize their system and create opportunities for third-party apps that integrate with Shopify to regain this functionality. These apps can help you track customer locations and manage logistics more effectively. Some of the apps do not support the feature of tracking the order and the distance between two locations. Well, here are some of the apps I want to recommend to you, both free and paid.

Order Printer Pro: This app is quite popular among the Shopify merchants community. It helps you print invoices, packing slips, and labels using customizable templates. You can customize more information depending on your customers’ requirements like the order placement location and delivery address.

Hapo PDF Invoice: This app is totally free for everyone. You can easily create your own professional branded invoice via the drag-and-drop editor. It’s intuitive and easy to use and customize. This app is suitable for medium and small businesses that have limited budgets. However, some advanced features such as tracking orders will not be developed on this app.

ShippyPro: A little different from the two apps above, this app allows you to track shipments across multiple shipping vendors and manage orders from them. It includes tools for viewing and managing order details, including the origin and destination of shipments. I think this app is the closest one to your needs.

Easyship: Another reputable name in the field of shipping and delivery with Shopify. This app provides detailed insights and information into shipping operations, including order origin and destination tracking. However, it focuses more on shipping rate optimization and logistics automation, not geographical tracking (this is just one of the additional features of this app, not the main feature).

Notice again, when choosing an app, you need to confirm with the app developer whether it can specifically show both the location from where the order was placed and the delivery address. Like I said, not all apps can display this information directly because of multiple reasons.

Lastly, if these solutions are not sufficient, you might consider custom development. Good luck to you mate.
