Logging Out Of 588 Devices

Every time I select the “Log out all devices” option in Shopify under the “Security” page, it says “You’re about to log out of 588 devices, including your current device.” Can someone explain what is going on? Is my website being used for some kind of bitcoin mining? Thanks.

If you need to log out of multiple devices, here are some general steps depending on the platform you are using:

For Google Account:

  1. Using a web browser:
  • Go to myaccount.google.com.
  • Click on Security in the left-hand menu.
  • Under Your devices, click on Manage devices.
  • Here, you can see all devices where your account is signed in. Click on the device you want to sign out of and select Sign out.
  1. Using a mobile device:
  • Open the Google app or go to Settings > Google > Manage your Google Account.
  • Navigate to the Security tab.
  • Under Your devices, tap Manage devices.
  • Sign out of each device as needed.

For Apple ID:

  1. Using a web browser:
  • Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in.
  • Scroll down to the Devices section.
  • Click on each device to see more details and select Remove from account to sign out.
  1. Using an iPhone or iPad:
  • Open Settings and tap on your name at the top.
  • Scroll down to see all devices linked to your Apple ID.
  • Tap on a device and select Remove from account.

For Facebook:

  1. Using a web browser:
  • Go to facebook.com and log in.
  • Click the downward-facing arrow in the top-right corner and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
  • Go to Security and Login.
  • Under Where You’re Logged In, you will see all the devices. Click on Log Out Of All Sessions to sign out from all devices.
  1. Using a mobile device:
  • Open the Facebook app.
  • Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right (iOS) or top-right (Android).
  • Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Security and Login.
  • Under Where You’re Logged In, tap See All and then Log Out Of All Sessions.

For Microsoft Account:

  1. Using a web browser:
  • Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in.
  • Click on Devices.
  • Select the device you want to sign out of and click Remove device.
  1. Using Windows 10/11:
  • Open Settings > Accounts > Your info.
  • Select Sign out everywhere.

General Tips:

  • Password Change: Changing your password can automatically log you out of most devices. After changing the password, make sure to follow up on any critical devices to ensure the session has been terminated.
  • Two-Factor Authentication: Enabling two-factor authentication on your accounts will add an extra layer of security.

If you need to log out from 588 devices, consider prioritizing this task or writing a script if you have access to an API that allows automated device management. For highly specific tasks like logging out of a custom enterprise system, consulting the system administrator or IT support might be necessary.

Thank you for your thorough response. I went through the steps listed above and did log out of a few devices, however, I still see the message “You’re about to log out of 588 devices, including your current device” when logging out of Shopify.
