I’m validating a small diagnostic workflow for one specific problem: Shopify shows the completed orders, but GA4 shows fewer purchases or materially different revenue.
From the public cases I reviewed, a simple order-ID comparison usually confirms the gap but often does not show what to test next. The missing orders may cluster around a payment method, pickup/order type, transaction-ID format, or a purchase event with missing value/currency.
Before changing any tracking setup, I would normally check:
- whether the Shopify and GA4 exports use the same date range and timezone;
- which Shopify order IDs are absent from GA4;
- whether the missing orders cluster by payment method, shipping method, location, country, or cart size;
- whether matched GA4 purchases have zero revenue, a different currency, or event count above one.
I’m looking for 3 stores willing to test this workflow with anonymized exports.
Good fit:
- at least 30 Shopify orders in the selected period;
- Shopify and GA4 differ by roughly 10% or more, or GA4 purchase revenue is zero;
- GA4 includes transaction IDs.
No account access is needed. Please do not post files or customer information in this thread. Order IDs can be replaced with matching anonymous IDs in both exports, and names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, user IDs, cookies, and credentials must be removed.
For the first 3 qualified cases, I’ll provide the diagnostic summary at no charge in exchange for blunt feedback on whether the recommended next test is actually useful. This is product validation; a future version may be paid, but there is nothing to buy in this pilot.
If your case fits, reply publicly with:
- approximate Shopify order count;
- approximate GA4 purchase count;
- tracking method, if known: Google & YouTube app, GTM, Customer Events, custom pixel, or server-side.
I will not send an unsolicited private message. We can only exchange anonymized files after mutual consent.
