I’m working on a small project for Shopify stores that have lots of similar products, where customers often get stuck thinking “which one is right for me?”.
The idea is an AI shopping assistant inside the store that asks a few quick questions and then recommends the most suitable products, plus an analytics view for the merchant showing things like:
– what customers ask most before buying
– which products are recommended but don’t convert
– which products convert best
– where people seem confused in the catalog
Right now I’m not trying to sell anything – I’m trying to validate if this is actually useful in real stores. I’d love to talk to 5–10 Shopify merchants who:
– have at least a few dozen products, or multiple similar variants
– feel that some visitors get lost or ask “which product should I pick?”
I don’t have a public demo or video yet, because I want to shape it based on real feedback first. If there’s enough interest, I’ll record a short 2–3 minute Loom showing how this would look on a store and how the analytics would work, and I can share it with you for honest feedback.
