I’m building Helpling, a tool designed to help ecommerce stores write product-related content that sounds natural and human.
To shape the early voice library behind the system, I’m inviting a small number of ecommerce founders who already write thoughtful blog content to become Founding Voices.
If selected, your writing voice will help guide how Helpling understands tone and personality.
In return, Founding Voices receive:
• Lifetime Pro access to Helpling
• A credited profile in the voice library
• Backlinks to your brand and blog
Nothing from your site is republished, the articles are simply analysed internally to understand writing style.
If you run an ecommerce brand and publish long-form content (around 20+ articles), I’d love to hear from you.
Hi there @MrInappropriate looks like a good thing you’re setting up here, the Shopify subreddits on the Reddit platform are a great place to find some founders for what you’re planning to do just incase you haven’t gone on there as well.
And this is an attractive early-windowing option for creators who are regularly producing long-form content. By electing to be a Founding Voice, you’ll shape the tone Helpling learns while receiving lifetime Pro access, a credited profile, and backlinks to your site. Concentrate on providing a representative sample of your brand’s writing voice.
Interesting idea I think the focus on natural human sounding product content is something a lot of ecommerce brands struggle with especially when using AI tools that often feel too generic.
The Founding Voices concept is also smart because real brand voices are very different from each other and training on actual blog content could make the output much more authentic.
If the tool can truly capture tone and personality while still keeping the content useful for product pages and blogs I can see it being valuable for many stores. Curious to see how the voice library evolves as more founders contribute.
When I originally started building this, the intention was only to use it for myself, for my own stores, but having spoken with other owners it seems that many would benefit, so I turned it into a proper platform.
When you sign up, the first thing it asks you to do is to upload 15+ blog posts that are written in your personal voice, then click Train Model. In the background you get your own fine-tuned GPT model that learns its ‘personality’ from your content, and from that point, all blog posts and product/collection descriptions you generate in the platform are generated in your voice.
For many, when they sign up, they get to this point and think ‘oh no, I don’t have any well-written blog posts’. This is what the Founding Voices are for. Instead of submitting your own content, you can ‘borrow’ some from a training library. All you need to do in this case, instead of uploading your content is to select a persona and click Import.
If you’d like to have a free Early Access account please let me know and I’ll send you an invite code. I need a few people to test so I’m happy to give you a free account.
This sounds really interesting, especially the part where it actually learns a consistent voice instead of just generating generic content. That’s where most AI tools fall short.
I like the idea of the Founding Voices and the fallback persona library too that solves a real problem for people who don’t have strong blog content yet.
I’d definitely be open to trying this out and giving some honest feedback, especially from an ecommerce product content perspective. Would be great to see how well it handles things like product descriptions vs long form blogs.
