I’m importing and updating items via xlsx, is it possible to tag the items with pre-order/date/etc that are imported so they can be used with any preorder-app?
Of course, there is a “Tags” column for this: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/import-export/using-csv
Not sure about compatibility though – different apps may use different methods.
Hi Dan, I saw your enquiry for our Early Bird pre-order app come through after posting this. Thought I’d reply here as well for others who may have a similar question.
Like @tim_tairli mentioned, there’s a Tags column for when you import products to Shopify. You’d upload the spreadsheet to your Shopify store (not to our app) > Make sure they’re in live status > Create a pre-order campaign in our Early Bird app > Select the relevant products via “Add a filter > Tags”. You can filter by Categories, Collections, Types and Vendors as well.
I noticed you have a large product catalogue for your store. We don’t have our own import or bulk selection functionality yet. If you’re ok with selecting each pre-order product (which will automatically include all of its variants as well, but you can de-select specific variants if needed), then it sounds like our app could be a good fit for your store.
