I need an app that will enable me to offer quantity discounts (buy 2 get X% discount, but 3 get Y% and so on) and also sale promotion (i.e. 25% sale on collection A and 30% sale on collection B). I have not been able to find an app that can do both. And the quantity discount apps are not working properly because they say that they clash with the Sale promotion app. And I’ve tried few different apps, they all have the same issue of clashing with a Sale promotion apps.
I find it very strange as these are two basic functions every commerce website need to have. Will appreciate your help
So to clarify your question, the quantity discount is applied to the product level, you can set discount rules for each product, and the sales promotion is on the collection level. Is that correct?
You can only apply one discount at checkout which limits the use of multiple apps that all use discounts.
What you can do is just set up a variant option of pack size and set specific prices for each quantity so that way you can still allow a discount to be used at checkout for sale promotions. The only limitation in setting pack sizes as variants is you don’t have inventory control over them. If you do need this you would need to use a bundle app. You can bundle the multi packs using our app which works in the background so no edits to your theme are required. There are 2 main functions to consider:
1. Inventory Management
Our app lets you connect up products to correct SKUs and we then update their inventory based on the component stock level. When the main single SKU stock reduces so does all multipacks.
2. Order Fulfilment
When you sell one of the variations the master stock level won’t reduce automatically. What our app does is update the order post purchase by replacing the order line with the Single SKU as order line which then reduces that stock. This then feeds into point 1 above where it updates all linked variants.
