Looking for a Shopify SEO freelance, any good suggestions?

Has anyone hired someone to do a proper technical SEO setup on their Shopify store? Looking for a referral.

I need someone to come in, do the work once, and hand it off — not an ongoing retainer. The to-do list is pretty specific: GMC feed cleanup, Search Console, Google Business Profile, GA4 verification, redirect map, and schema markup. Nothing crazy, just needs to be done right.

Fixed price only. If you’ve worked with someone good, I’d love a recommendation.

Hey @mshook3

One thing worth deciding before you hire anyone: the redirect map is the piece that can quietly go wrong, since it needs a full crawl of your current live URLs mapped one by one, so make sure whoever you bring in does that properly rather than just adding a handful of redirects, and ask for the crawl and mapping sheet as part of the handoff. Same with schema, ask that it’s added directly in the theme rather than through an app, so it stays yours and doesn’t disappear if you uninstall something. Since you want it done once and handed off, ask for a short documentation doc at the end covering what was set up and where, so you’re never dependent on the person afterward.

This is exactly the kind of work I do (GMC feed cleanup, Search Console and GA4 verification, GBP, redirect maps and schema in the theme), with a clean handoff, so happy to take it on if you’d like.

Best,
Moeed

Your content is actually good, clear descriptions, nice “Perfect For” sections, so that’s not the issue. Two very different problems are hurting you, and neither is the copy:

  1. The checkout drop-off is your urgent one. People adding to cart and starting checkout but nobody completing = a friction or trust break at the final step, not a browsing problem. Test a full purchase yourself right now on mobile: is a surprise shipping cost appearing? Is a payment method failing? Is checkout asking for too much? 500 visits with cart activity and zero sales almost always means something is literally broken or scary at checkout. That’s where your lost money is.

  2. The reused domain is a real SEO handicap. If the previous owner had spam history, Google can distrust the domain for months. Check Google Search Console for manual actions or coverage errors. Sometimes a fresh domain is genuinely faster than fighting an old one’s baggage.

Fix checkout first, today, that’s your bleeding wound. The Google issue is real but slower. Don’t spend another dollar on ads until checkout is proven to work end to end.

Hi @mshook3,

I saw that you’re looking for a one-time, fixed-price technical SEO setup rather than an ongoing retainer.

I can help with the full handoff scope, including:

  • Google Merchant Center feed review and cleanup
  • Search Console and GA4 verification
  • Google Business Profile checks
  • Full redirect crawl and mapping sheet
  • Shopify schema review and implementation
  • Final documentation showing what was changed and where

Before confirming the fixed price, could you send me the store URL and approximately how many active products and indexed URLs the store has?

For a standard-sized store, I’d estimate a fixed price around $300 and a delivery time of 5–7 days.

I’m available to review the store and start immediately.

Hi @mshook3,

If you definitely want to hire an independent freelancer, platforms like Storetasker or Upwork are great for finding vetted Shopify experts who work on fixed-price projects.

However, you might not actually need to pay a human hundreds of dollars to do all of that. Many of the tasks on your list, especially building a redirect map and setting up perfect schema markup, can be completely automated. I highly recommend checking out SearchPie: SEO, Speed & Schema. It is an app that automatically handles the heavy technical SEO work in the background, like fixing broken links and building the exact structured data Google wants to see. If you still prefer having a professional do it for you, the team behind SearchPie actually offers one-time, fixed-price expert services to go into your store and clean up your code manually without any ongoing contracts.

Hope this helps you get everything set up perfectly!
