Hello,

I am currently building a Shopify site to sell personalized exercise books to schools. I need to have an app that can do the following.

Print file output as a greyscaled PDF
The ability to have 2 different print file sizes, one 85mm x 85mm and the other 105mm x 105 mm (essentially to fit the two sizes of books we do)
The ability to remove the background of images (so remove any white from the background)
We need to also be able to name the printfiles and have the printfile name show on the Shopify order so it gets sent to our ERP system via EDI.

Does anyone know an app that has all these features?

When setting up a digital produc, you would uplaod your file to Shopify.

So you can

  1. uplaod a greyscaled PDF to shopify

  2. uplaod 2 different print file sizes, one 85mm x 85mm and the other 105mm x 105 mm and set them as product variants so the customer can choose which one they want.

  3. The ability to remove the background of images (so remove any white from the background) - Do you mean in the file? agai, you can do that befor eyou uplaod your PDF

  4. shopify doesnt do EDI. if you would to se that up, you can PM I can try to help. ive done a fe EDI integrations.

Thank you for your reply. I think i may have confused you though.

My products are on Shopify and i want to let my customers upload their School logo’s on to them so we can print the logo’s on the front of the books. but to do this i need to:

Have the output file as a greyscaled PDF so it works with my print machine

Be able to attach the customers artwork filename to the Shopify order so that it comes through to my ERP system and the production team know which file to use.

I need to be able to automatically remove the background from the customers uploaded image so that we print only the logo and no background.

And be able to size the image upload correctly so it fits on to the book properly.

I hope this makes more sense.

If you break these things down it might be manageable. start with finding an app that lets customers attach an image/file to an order.

everything else you need done does not necessarily have to be in shopify using an app. you can find other software that does that for you once its in your ERP.
