Hi all,
I am a visual artist, writer, musician, and teacher. I created a store to sell my original art, fine art prints, greetings cards, books, and more.
I still have some work to do on my Shopify store but it would be great to get some feedback from anyone open to looking at it. Constructive criticism is very welcome as I want the navigation and ordering experience to be as positive as it can be for my customers.

Hi @atmos-art
I have checked your website just now and I do love your style and design worked before, which is really awesome and amazing! To optimize your store in a better way, let me further share the ideas below for your reference, kindly have a look please:
- After checking your store page speed, the score on mobile seems a bit lower than the score on desktop. This means you can do further about page structures and inner code contents on phone port. Pay more attention to the page LCP and reduce some unused JavaScript, which may be helpful on your current store.
- The content at the footer part of homepage seems not in good order. You can use CSS to adjust the positions of each part content properly and make sure they are in the right position, this will make them look cleaner and well-organized.
- When I search your website on Google, there exist some search results which cannot display full details. This is due to the excessive length of meta description on your store when editing. It is recommended to shorten the length of meta description within 150 characters and it will have a great look and display all contents fully.
Hi @atmos-art
My first impression is that it is a very clean website with good product images. The layout is minimal and readable, with a nice small border radius and solid
font choice. And you did a lot of things right, like putting phone and email in footer. The address would also be good for complete info so customers have full trust. But I have noticed some things that you should fix:
- I do not see a favicon, it is part of a brand so you should have it
- There are no icons at header, but also then inproduct page, cart +/- it is strange and customers will have some issues. Saw that you have this CSS but that one hide all svg’s so reconsider :
- On the homepage, there are a few good sections, but then I noticed the reviews. To me, that looks like trustpilot reviews, at least to look like it but you do not have any, so it looks a bit deceiving. And it says for what product but if you go to the product page, from app there are no reviews.
- " Explore more" section have 4 items but 3 in row, plus no links so not that useful and Curriculum Vitae button have no link
- Footer, for me that looks of, title centered and links left aligned, eye have to travel some way
THink it should fine it titles ate left aligned too
- Note that all polices pages are wrong, like you changed default template
- Collection page: first that breadcrumb at the top looks out of place and not styled
- The collection description could be longer, more text better for SEO
- You do not need the filter part for now as not many product in collections
- Maybe think to have 2 products in row on desctop too, but i could be too big
- Product page: some items do need description, for example "Original Artwork: “Untitled #1"” what do I get?
- Add to cart need improvement, first now right side looks cutoff, but that is not big issue. To me it should be most dominant button on page but outlined makes it almost invisible. So black button with white text would be beter.
- And add a few more sections. you can add that icon block from the homepage, but also some general text to get more customer reassurance, to promote yourself more.
I am sure others will get more insight plus promote apps you can use. But in general, good work, solid base and keep working on it.
Hi there, @atmos-art . At this point, the foundation of your store is pretty solid but I see there’s still room for improvement of product pages. Considering you’re selling high-quality and original artworks, users may be looking for a reason to connect emotionally and justify the price.
Right now, many items have little or no description, and often just one photo. For an original painting, print, or handmade book, that leaves the buyers guessing and not feel confident buying it.
From my POV, your product pages could use just a bit more depth this way:
-
A short story or meaning behind the piece, like what inspired you or where it was created.
-
More details about materials, size specs, and how it will be packaged and shipped.
-
At least 2 more additional images: close-ups, scale reference, or even real-life photos of it in a room or on the table.
Regardless of the source of your traffic, it’s about removing doubt and making potential visitors feel more connected to the piece before they commit, so a little more context like that could go a long way. Good luck!
Hi @atmos-art !
This is Tracy from BON Loyalty, a loyalty app that helps Shopify merchants build and nurture close bond with the customers. Upon reviewing your online store, here are some suggestions and tips that can make improvements for your store’s performance:
What You’re Doing Well:
- Beautifully Minimal Aesthetic: Your clean, modern design really lets your art shine without distractions.
- Easy-to-Navigate Layout: Your menu makes it simple for visitors to find original artworks, prints, or apparel.
- Authentic Storytelling: Pages like “About Atmos,” “Exhibitions,” and “Testimonials” help build trust and give visitors a deeper connection to your work.
Where You Can Improve:
1. Make Your Homepage More Engaging
Not only does your homepage lack a strong hook, but it also doesn’t yet reflect the uniqueness or personal characteristics of you as the artist.
Tip: Use the top of your homepage to instantly communicate what sets you apart. Add a bold hero banner featuring a standout piece or collection, and pair it with a short, personal message—something that captures your artistic voice or creative philosophy. Include a clear CTA like “Shop My Latest Work” or “Explore the Vision Behind Atmos.”
2. Enrich Your Product Pages
Some product descriptions feel a bit minimal.
Tip: Tell the story behind each piece—why you created it, what it means to you, what materials you used. Include high-resolution zoomable images to help visitors experience the texture and detail of your work. Example of a good art description:
3. Enhance Your Mobile Experience
While your site works well on mobile, some elements could be smoother.
Tip: Make sure buttons are thumb-friendly, images load fast, and your text is easy to read on small screens.
4. Boost Trust With Reviews & Social Proof
There’s not much visible customer feedback yet.
Tip: Ask happy collectors to leave reviews or share photos of your art in their space. Feature these on product pages and your homepage.
Hope these spark some new ideas! Wishing you continued growth with your store.
Your store atmos.art showcases beautiful artwork! As a visual artist, having a strong online presence is crucial for reaching art collectors and enthusiasts. Here’s some feedback to enhance your store’s design and user experience:
Key Design Issues:
- Technical Problems: Your breadcrumb navigation appears broken across multiple pages, creating a poor first impression that needs immediate fixing.
- Product Presentation: Many products lack detailed descriptions and only show single images. Art buyers want to see multiple angles, close-up details, and ideally framed examples to visualize the pieces in their space.
- Homepage Impact: Your homepage needs more visual impact with large banners showcasing your most striking artwork. Art buyers make emotional decisions, so creating immediate visual appeal is essential for keeping visitors engaged.
- Navigation Experience: Your dropdown menus require clicking rather than hovering, which isn’t user-friendly. Consider themes that support hover-activated dropdowns for smoother browsing.
- Overall Aesthetic: While your art is beautiful, the store design could better reflect your artistic brand. Consider exploring Shopify’s newer Horizon theme collection or art-specific themes that better complement creative work.
- Content Strategy: Adding blog content about your artistic process, inspiration, or art care tips would help with SEO and build deeper connections with potential buyers.
