Looking for feedback and answers for my Shopify Printify store

Hello everyone,

I own and operate my newly made store Positivity Provisions where I curate a list of products related towards self-care and mindfulness. I want to work my brand towards positivity and mental health.

I wanted some feedback on it and what I should do next. Below I’ll give some more details about my experience with my store and setup so far.

First of all, it’s fully operational with 50 products. I setup Facebook/Instagram integration with it as well where Facebook is being reviewed (Facebook Meta Business is all setup too I believe). My Facebook Page and my Instagram accounts/pages. At first I made a new Instagram with my business email but it got suspended because it didn’t follow the guidelines, because of my identity I believe. So I then connected it to my personal Instagram account and updated the account settings according to my brand. I am not sure if I should change my name now to Positivity Provisions or if they will suspend me again because I think that’s what caused it in the first place.

Phew.. anyways that’s just about it for that.

Now I just want to know what I can do next, I just want to find a way to freely promote my business now, maybe run a few ads depending on the price.

I use Zoho mail and want to setup a newsletter so I can send users a 10% one time discount coupon, if that’s a good idea or if I should do a different sale instead. Idk what kind of free shipping options I could with with Printify either but I hear of people doing free shipping on orders over $35.

I was wondering what to do as a first post for Shopify as well and Facebook/IG.

Thanks for reading this far! And appreciate any help.

I’ve been hearing that tiktok is a great place to advertise your products freely. I suggest looking into other print on demand brands on the platform and finding content that you can emulate for your business, just a small suggestion.

I also think the website looks very high quality. I think you’ll be making sales in no time.

Hi @JesseJarvis

I am Garcia from PageFly Page Builder. I’m excited to answer your questions and share some initial recommendations to boost your Shopify store’s conversion rate.

1. Optimizing Your Shopify Store for Conversions:

  • Search Engine Visibility: A well-indexed website on Shopify is crucial for attracting organic traffic. Make sure your store is set up for search engines like Google so potential customers can easily find you.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Let’s unlock your store’s full potential! Here are some CRO tweaks to consider:
  • Streamline Your Running Banner: Keep the text concise and easy to read. Reduce the sentence length and font size to improve readability on all devices.

  • Boost Homepage Credibility: Increase trust by adding sections like testimonials and a curated Instagram feed prominently on your homepage.

You can take PageFly premade template - Flora Mother’s Day as example, with clothing store, you can show images of products right in the Testimonials section.

  • Highlight Benefits Above the Fold: Move the benefit bar section closer to your hero image for maximum impact. Customers shouldn’t need to scroll to see the value you offer.

  • Optimize Scrolling Experience: Ensure all sections fit comfortably within one screenful on desktop and mobile. This creates a seamless user experience and avoids unnecessary scrolling.

Example from PageFly premade template - Flora Mother’s day: the hero banner height fit in 1 scroll which allow customers to scan information easier

2. Engaging Your Audience on Facebook and Instagram:

  • Compelling Content: Capture attention with high-quality images and videos showcasing your clothing on models. Tailor your captions to current trends and your brand voice while incorporating relevant hashtags to reach a wider audience.
  • Paid Advertising Strategies: Once you’ve enriched your social media presence, consider running targeted Facebook or Google Ads campaigns. This can significantly boost your brand’s visibility on both platforms.

3. Running Promotion for Sales Events

Mother’s Day is a major sales opportunity, but the window to capitalize is closing fast! Don’t miss out – here’s how to optimize your website for peak season sales and turn website visitors into happy Mother’s Day shoppers.

  • Showcase Products as Perfect Gifts: High-quality product images are crucial. But for Mother’s Day, go beyond basic product shots. Think about how your products can be presented as thoughtful gifts. Use captivating photos that show moms receiving beautiful gifts, using your products with joy, or creating lasting memories. Allow users to zoom in and appreciate the details, fueling their desire to make this the perfect Mother’s Day surprise.
  • Mobile responsiveness: Mobile browsing is king, especially for last-minute shoppers. Ensure your website offers a seamless browsing experience across all screen sizes. A user-friendly mobile experience can mean the difference between a lost sale and a happy Mother’s Day customer.
  • Add Trust badges and guarantees: Moms (and those buying gifts for them!) need to feel confident about purchasing from your store. Display prominent trust badges and guarantees to ease any concerns about security, returns, or on-time delivery. This builds trust and encourages conversions, especially for those placing gift orders.

These are just a few starting points! I’m happy to discuss further strategies to help your business thrive.

The default search landing page is a bit off, I mean it’s empty. You can show products on that page as well by simply updating the default search on the website with different search solutions. Other significant observations for store optimization are as follows:

  1. You can add social media links, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram on the site footer.
  2. Try reducing the size of your logo, it takes up a lot of space and thus makes the home page less user-friendly.
  3. Make sure your social media pages open at the new tab instead of the same tab. This will ensure your customers stay on your website while looking at your social presence.
  4. Incentivise customers with irresistible offers that boost your checkout rate by 25%+.
  5. Finally, I would also recommend you to try Sparq product filters and search to replace the default search on your store, this app allows advanced custom tag product filters for collection pages, synonyms, spelling correction, and other such features. Visitors with the search are high-intent users and their conversion rate is higher than normal users. Check out the features live here

I hope you find these suggestions helpful in enhancing your store’s performance and providing an improved experience for your customers.

Thanks! No sales yet but it’s a process. My first campaign is nothing but Shopify Experts wanting to do business lol.

Hi there! First I want to start with the:

  • Streamline Your Running Banner: Keep the text concise and easy to read. Reduce the sentence length and font size to improve readability on all devices.

Could you check that again please, is what I changed it to better now? I added the information that was there below the “Outfitting Minds” and added my current 2 promotions in the running banner instead.

Next is related to Search Engine Visibility, currently I’m second in google for Positivity Provisions. Only my Stickers page is ranked there and I’m not sure why yet. I’d rather it link my home page first.

Hi @JesseJarvis

About the Running banner, there seems to be a slight delay with the running banner. The text appears to disappear for a second, leaving only the blue background visible. You can investigate the animation timing or check for any extra space before the text that might be causing the delay.

Regarding search engine optimization (SEO), I recommend using both Google Search Console and Ahrefs to identify areas for improvement. Once you’ve implemented these changes, resubmitting your sitemap through Google Search Console will ensure Google crawls and indexes the latest updates as quickly as possible.

Here are some specific recommendations I have after a preliminary review:

  • Add alt text for homepage images: This improves accessibility and provides search engines with context, potentially boosting image search ranking.
  • Optimize footer links: Consider using the rel=“nofollow” attribute for specific footer links that aren’t crucial for search engine crawling. This helps search engines prioritize more relevant content on your website.

  • Target link behavior: For specific footer links that currently open in the same tab, you can implement the rel=“noopener” attribute to ensure they open in a new tab by default. This enhances user experience by preventing accidental navigation away from your website.

Hope that these recommendations can help you improving your store SEO!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or require further clarification.

Hi there and thanks! The li ks highlighted in red you recommend to be nofollow right? And what kind of alt text would I want for the homepage images? Something relevant to SEO and the image?

Thanks!

@JesseJarvis Yes, those links have been marked red are those links should be nofollow links.

About the ALT text for images, while including your brand name can be helpful for awareness, prioritize using terms that describe the actual product in the image. This optimizes your site for relevant image searches and improves accessibility for visually impaired users.

Remember, ALT text is prime real estate for relevant keywords, but prioritize clarity over keyword stuffing.

I have https://positivityprovisions.com/sitemap.xml by default but StoreSEO wanted me to add that HTML Sitemap to the bottom. I’m not sure if I “needed” it or it was suggesting it. Is that okay or does it make it redundant? I think the sitemap.xml is for bots and crawlers whereas the footer Sitemap is for people? Thanks.

@JesseJarvis Thehttps://positivityprovisions.com/sitemap.xmlincludes all pages, products, collections of your store already so you can use this to submit to Google Search Console without any other sitemap. The sitemap generated by Shopify automatically so it will be enough. :hugs:
