I am currently developing a Shopify app—a completely free one—and the features for the initial version are now largely complete. Before moving forward, I would greatly appreciate hearing feedback from the merchants and developers here.
This app focuses primarily on the bulk management of Product Tags and Product Image Alt Text directly within the Shopify admin dashboard. In the future, I may integrate some free AI capabilities to automatically generate suggested Alt Text or tags.
App Feature Overview (Current Version)
The product listing interface mirrors the native Shopify admin interface (displaying titles, images, and tags).
It supports the following operations:
Searching and filtering products (e.g., filtering by collection, vendor, product type, tags, etc.).
You can perform bulk actions directly on the same page:
Bulk editing product tags.
Bulk generating/updating Alt Text for product images.
Future Plans
At this stage, the core functionality of the tool has been developed, and I am currently performing final optimizations and polishing of the user experience.

If there is sufficient interest from the community, and the feedback I receive is predominantly positive, I plan to:

Consider adding more advanced features (e.g., custom rules, more detailed data reporting, and potentially even AI-driven smart suggestions).
Additionally, I intend to develop other new, lightweight, and free apps. If you have any great ideas or suggestions for these, please feel free to share them in the comments section below; I will select some of these ideas to develop in the future.

I’ve already received a few ideas in response to a previous post of mine—such as lightweight product badges and timers [lightweight means that won’t affect or slow down the merchant’s store loading times at all].

Overall, the idea is genuinely useful, especially for Shopify stores that deal with large catalogs. Bulk editing product tags and image alt text directly inside the admin is something many merchants struggle with, so this solves a real pain point.
The interface also looks familiar and aligned with Shopify’s native admin style, which makes it easy to understand without a learning curve.
A few suggestions that could improve it further:
Adding a preview changes step before applying bulk edits would help prevent mistakes
Saved filters or views would be very useful for repetitive SEO tasks like missing alt text or untagged products
A simple change summary after bulk updates how many products were updated would improve transparency
If AI features are added later, it should stay optional so merchants retain full control
Overall, this looks like a strong utility app with real practical value, especially for stores managing medium to large inventories. It feels like something merchants would actually use on a daily basis.
First of all, the UI looks incredibly clean. Keeping it identical to the native Shopify admin is a brilliant move because merchants hate having to learn clunky, third-party dashboards.
For the current version, the bulk Alt Text feature will be a huge timesaver for SEO. One constructive suggestion for your future roadmap: when you introduce the AI feature, try to make sure it actually “reads” the image to describe the visual elements rather than just rewriting the product title. True accessibility and Google Image SEO rely on literal descriptive text, and an AI that can do that in bulk would be a massive game changer.
Regarding your future plans for a lightweight product badge app, that is a fantastic idea. Page speed is a critical issue right now, and many visual apps completely ruin mobile performance by injecting heavy scripts.

Hello! good to see you again. The current version implements only basic features. In the future, once we integrate AI, we will think about how to automatically generate better image descriptions.
Regarding the product badges feature: I will begin development on it once this application is complete. Thank you for your suggestion.
