Hi Shopify community, I recently created a baby products store called TinyNest. I would appreciate feedback on my homepage design, product pages, trust elements, and any improvements that could help increase conversions. Thank you for your advice
I had a look at your store, and it has a clean, modern design with a nice overall layout. Here are a few suggestions that could help improve the user experience and increase conversions:
Make the “Shop Now” button more prominent with a stronger contrast.
Add a few key selling points (e.g., Free Shipping, Secure Checkout, 30-Day Returns) near the hero section.
Increase the announcement bar text size for better visibility.
Add an Add to Cart or Quick View button directly on the product cards.
Use higher-resolution product images where possible.
Move the product reviews closer to the product title and price to build trust.
Add trust badges such as Secure Payments, Fast Shipping, and Easy Returns.
Display your shipping, return, and refund information more prominently.
Expand your About Us section slightly to help customers connect with your brand.
Update the newsletter CTA to something like “Subscribe & Get 20% Off Your First Order.”
Add links to FAQ, Track Order, and Returns & Refund Policy in the footer, along with your social media profiles.
@Tinynest Jumped in to actually click around the store since the design feedback above is solid. One thing worth fixing first though — your “Catalog” nav link goes to /collections/all and it’s showing zero products, even though your Baby Carrier (with 9 great reviews!) is live and featured on the homepage. Looks like it just isn’t added to that collection. Since anyone curious enough to click “Catalog” is a warm lead, sending them to an empty page is probably costing you more than any CTA copy tweak would. Quick fix: add the product to the “All”/Catalog collection in admin.
Smaller one: your homepage title tag is just “Tinynest” — worth changing to something like “Tinynest | Hands-Free Baby Carrier for Comfort & Confidence” so it actually says what you sell when it shows up in search or gets shared.
There is alot of work still needs to be done but heres a few things I’ve noticed.
get a custom domain
do not use a gmail email
use a logo that has a transparent background
your product page has a green button and no wording.
you can also check out the feedback section in this forum, maybe stuff you read will reflect what you need to do as well
you need to actually vist each of your pages to make sure it looks the way its suspose to look. reflecting back at #5 - you didn’t even visit your page to ensure everything is presentable to buyers.
Hi @Tinynest! A couple of quick questions for you, which I hope will give you some direction:
Are you a parent?
Objectively, would you shop at your own store?
Would you trust buying your baby items here? (That is… the items you will use on the most important and delicate person in your life?)
I assume the answer is likely “no” to 2-3 of those. So I’d start by figuring out why the answer is no. Use that distrust/suspicion/concern as a guide in where to improve. Custom domain, non-AI images, reviews, improved design, detailed copy, etc.
As you start fixing these, you’ll eventually feel the store is good enough that you would shop there. Then, ask your friends/family for their honest opinion on whether they would shop there.
Once most people say “yes”, then and only then would I start shifting from product to marketing.
Congratulations on launching your store! Starting a new Shopify business is exciting, and asking for feedback this early is a great way to improve.
Without seeing the store, it’s difficult to give specific suggestions, but for a baby products store I’d focus on a few key areas. Parents usually pay close attention to trust, so things like clear shipping and return policies, customer reviews, secure payment badges, and authentic product photos can have a big impact on conversions.
I’d also make sure your product pages explain how each product solves a real parenting problem, rather than only listing features. Showing products in everyday use can also help parents imagine themselves using them.
As your store grows, you might also consider adding optional services like gift wrapping, personalized gift messages, or complementary baby accessories directly on the product page. We’ve seen many merchants implement these kinds of options with Easify Custom Product Options, which can help improve both the shopping experience and average order value.
If you’re able to share your store URL, I’d be happy to take a closer look and provide more specific feedback.
Hey, took a look at your store - a few small things that’ll make a real difference:
Your page isn’t showing a title or description when it comes up in search, so add that in - right now it’s basically invisible to anyone searching. The logo’s kind of floating on top of the background instead of blending in, worth tweaking that. Also noticed one of your images still has the default file name from a screenshot, and none of your product images seem to have alt text - that’s what search engines actually use to understand what you’re selling, so it’s worth fixing. If you’ve got a lot of products and don’t want to do it one by one, AltMaster can generate alt text in bulk for your whole catalog automatically.
Also, your Catalog page is showing empty even though you’ve got a product live - probably just needs to be added to that collection so people clicking it don’t hit a blank page. And a few of your images could use a quality bump, just so everything feels as polished as your theme.
I had a look at your store, and I think you’ve got a nice foundation. The clean design and baby niche work well together. A few things stood out that I think would help improve trust and conversions:
Hero section: Make the first banner a little more benefit-driven. Instead of just welcoming visitors, tell them why they should shop with TinyNest (safe materials, parent-approved products, fast shipping, etc.)
Product descriptions: Some products could benefit from more detailed descriptions with clear benefits, specifications, and care instructions. Parents usually want as much information as possible before making a purchase.
Trust signals: Add customer reviews, secure payment icons, a clear returns policy, and shipping information near the Add to Cart button if they aren’t already visible throughout the shopping journey.
About us: Parents tend to buy from brands they trust. A short story about why you started TinyNest and what your mission is can help build that connection.
Product images: If possible, include more lifestyle photos showing the products being used by babies or parents, not just supplier images.
Navigation: Make sure your categories are easy to browse so visitors can quickly find feeding, toys, clothing, nursery items, etc.
Homepage: Consider adding a “Why Shop With Us” section with 3-4 icons highlighting your key benefits (safe products, quality checked, fast shipping, responsive support).
Overall, it’s a solid start. I/d focus on building more trust throughout the site, as that’s usually the biggest factor for a new store without an established brand. Good luck with the launch.
I visited your store and overall it has a clean modern and appealing design. The branding feels well suited for a baby products store. Here are a few suggestions that could help improve user experience and increase conversions:
Add a stronger value proposition in the hero section so visitors immediately understand what makes your store unique.
Enrich your product pages with detailed descriptions customer reviews, FAQs, and trust badges to build buyer confidence.
Make your shipping return and contact information easier to find.
Include more lifestyle images that show the products being used, as they help customers visualize the benefits and build trust.
Consider adding a free shipping or limited time promotion banner to encourage purchases.
Add social media links and a newsletter signup section in the footer if they are not already available.
Continue optimizing your mobile experience and page speed as a large percentage of shoppers browse on mobile devices.
You may also consider highlighting best selling or featured products on the homepage to help visitors discover popular items more quickly.
Overall you’ve built a solid foundation with a pleasant design. A few strategic improvements to the user experience and trust elements could help increase engagement and conversion rates. Wishing you continued success with your store!
Congratulations on launching your store! I had a look and its a good start. My biggest suggestion would be to focus on building trust especially since you are in the baby products niche where parents are naturally more cautious.
Make your unique value proposition clearer on the homepage why should customers choose TinyNest?.
Add trust signals such as customer reviews, secure payment icons, shipping information, and a clear return policy near the Add to Cart button.
Use more lifestyle images showing the products being used by babies or parents, not just product photos.
Ensure product descriptions highlight the benefits, safety, and materials rather than just listing features.
If possible, add an FAQ section covering shipping, safety, and returns to answer common questions.
Overall the store has a nice foundation. Strengthening trust and making the buying journey more reassuring should help improve conversions.
Hey! Congrats on launching your new store. The biggest issue I noticed right now is that your Catalog page is empty, even though your baby carrier is live on the homepage. Make sure the carrier is assigned to the collection your Catalog page links to.
You can also reword the newsletter offer to something clearer like “Get 20% off your first order” and add customer reviews to build confidence. Also, positioning the discount as a limited time offer for your first customers could also help improve conversions.
