Looking for help adding products to my carousel

Hello everyone,

Here is a link to my Shopify Site:

https://web-motion-theme.myshopify.com/

Pasword: exp

I’m looking for help with having products displayed in my Flickity carousel instead of images. From the research i’ve done so far (via ChatGPT), I understand that one way to do it is by using an API Key from my Shopify store. Although, I have no experience with this kind of code so it’s still a bit confusing!

Here is the link for the site i’m trying to reference: https://blessescro.com/ I would like the “Add To Cart” button to appear as well as size selection, title, etc.

If anyone has any experience with this task and can help me solve this, I will definitely compensate you for your time!

Thank you

Hello @cecher ,

There is no need of API here.
You need a developer here to call the products and add a carousel like the refrence.
or alternatively search in the app store maybe you will find an app for it.

Thanks

Try to us the shopify chatbot on the help.shopify.com docs to loosely sanity check what chatgpt pukes up both hallucinate but one is niche specific, but seriously vet it with an actual dev/consultant.

Re-review and use as a reference the existing sliders/galleries that are already available in the dawn theme that this dawn-offshoot for profit theme is using.

And slam brakes on using the api,

DO NOT use the api for this, chatgpt is hallucinating some seriously bad and dangerous advice.

The only api that would suitable for a frontend theme is the storefront api for use with external hosting and custom development stacks. Meaning if you are making theme for the online-sales do not use the api if you do not understand it.

After that this still doesn’t make sense, your making an offsite shopify theme to sell for profit but don’t understand liquid or have staff that do , or why you shouldn’t misapply backend apis to a frontend.

Your gonna get bit, or are likely already losing money, Hire someone directly not just for the carousel but to consult on the shopify theme system itself with you at a process level, review/audit the theme rehash for baselines even if never wanting to be on the theme store, and to vet any future text chatgpt spews out.

Good luck with the theme.

Appreciate the advice, referencing other existing sliders like this was going to be my next step. Thank you!
