Looking for honest feedback and tips

Started my first shopify store week ago and i made my first sale yesterday.

Any tips or feedback are greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the first sale after just one week, that’s a solid start. Your store is way more polished than most I see from first-time Shopify owners.

The copy is strong. “Ditch the tripod. Stop asking strangers.” immediately tells me what the product does and why I’d want it. The feature breakdown, specs table, and video section all build trust well.

One thing to fix right away: there’s a typo in the hero headline. “Record you lifts” should be “Record your lifts.” Small thing but it’s the first thing visitors see.

The social proof numbers (500+ customers, 32+ countries) feel a bit aggressive for a store that’s been live one week. If those are real from a previous channel then that’s fine, but if not, I’d either tone them down or remove them until you actually hit those numbers. Buyers can usually tell and it can hurt trust more than help.

Where are you getting your traffic from right now? Organic, paid, or gym communities?

Hi @Kotipojat,

Congrats on your first sale!

Great site overall the branding is sharp, the niche is clear, and the product solves a real problem.

Issues to Fix

Typo on the hero: The headline reads “Record you lifts” but I guess you wanted to say “Record your lifts.”

404 product URL: The nav links say /products/rackgrip-pro but the actual url is at /products/maggrip-workout-phone-mount. The URL returns a 404.

Review count inconsistency: The homepage stats badge says “500+ Happy Customers” but the product page review widget shows “4.9 (2,847 reviews)” . You should update it to closest number I would suggest 2800+ happy customers.

Thank you. I ran my first ads in instagram and Tik tok to gather some data this weekend.

Thank you for the feedback!

The store looks great and I like the product as a gymrat. I think you should reorganize some pages and links in your footer. Right now the features and reviews quick links just point to the same page. You could add the link to the #features or #reviews section otherwise it makes no sense that both links take me to the top of the page.

Choosing to link to the same page with the FAQ, Shipping and return links in the footer is also an interesting choice. I think you should turn each of them into their own separate pages and add more information to your shipping and return pages (rates, countries, delivery times, warranty, right of return etc.).

The about us and our mission page also need some work. Right now they are barely two sentences long.

And one last point: for some reason your third listing image has a lower resolution then the previous ones. It looks too compressed / grainy on larger screens.

Otherwise pretty solid.

Best,
Tom

Thank you for the feedback

Congrats, you have a nice store. I just have some recommendations to remove spaces on your product page on mobile devices

Hey! Thank you for the feedback  Do you know how to control these spaces? Is it through the liquid code?

The theme customization should include settings that allow users to remove section padding.

Congrats on your store, looks great! Well done!

Hey! Thank you for the feedback

Thank you for your kind words

Nice looking site. And great choice on colors.

First, you are not charging enough. When you price something “cheap”, it gives the perception of “not that great”. The fitness/gym niche is high end. Think of an Equinox membership, or your receipt total after a visit to GNC.

Second, put the “Watch It In Action” link on a thumbnail and not a button. And put it on ALL pages. It’s a great demonstration from, what looks like, the owner of the company. This is a great personal touch. And speaking of personal, add pictures of the “two friends” in the About Us page.

Lastly, there Qty selector is still active on the product pages, even though you have the “Buy More - Save More” app enabled.

Hope these help.

Hey, nice product, the homepage video sells it well. I ran an automated audit on your store and a few things stood out:

  • Your product description is one sentence (12 words). A buyer can’t find: what phones fit, magnet strength, what rack materials work, dimensions, or weight.
  • 13 of your 14 collections are empty Shopify defaults (Clothing, Jewelry, Shoes) — they’re all indexed by Google as blank pages.
  • The review widget shows 509 reviews but your store is 2 weeks old. No actual review text renders on the page.
  • Prices show in USD but your store metadata says EUR and you’re shipping from Finland.

I also tested whether AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity) could answer basic questions about RackGrip — they can’t find phone compatibility, magnet safety info, or rack
type compatibility because that info isn’t on your site.

I have the full report if you’d find it useful. Happy to share.

Thank you for your feedback!
