I would love some insite on how to improve my website. Visually and functionality
Hey @countryjourney
Just curious, did you do some research or tried to find some references first before building the site? Not to disappoint but the site at the moment looks so unprofessional. Here’s an example:
Why is the logo so huge? It’s taking like 25% of the screen. There’s no hero banner and you’re using myshopify.com domain instead of your own.
I suggest first try to explore the Store Feedback board and pick some suggestions from there and try to improve the store. You got some work to do.
The homepage needs serious work before you start driving any real traffic to it. First impressions matter a lot, visitors decide within seconds whether they trust your store enough to buy.
If you’re finding it hard to get all of this dialed in on your own, feel free to reach out, I work on Shopify stores full-time and happy to help you get things sorted properly. Best of luck with your store.
Cheers,
Moeed
@countryjourney … Well done, I think you build the story own, honestly my first impression was good specially with mobile, ( smooth navigation and clear understanding for product and catalogue)..
but you can also consider the below things
- You can optimise the Header section.
- You can’t ignore the hero image, specifically on home page.
- You have to work on Product description too, because, it’s not clear and creating the confusion.
Attached the below image and should be optimise.
1- Logo part
2- on mobile- menu issue
..
if you needs suggestions around the conversion point of view the please let me know me.. “ because most of the merchant have same query like
- Store suggestion ?
- How I can get the first sell ?
- Running ads but no sales, what I can do?
- How I can check the visitor flow on website.
- How to remarked existing audience?
- Better way to track the conversion and what Metrics will consider ?
- How to optimise ads with better ROAs?
Etc,.. hopefully you got the solution from my end..
Hey! I took a look at your site and here’s some honest feedback on how you could improve both the visuals and functionality to make it more polished and conversion‑focused ![]()
First impressions & overall feel
Your store already has a lot going for it a clear niche (western/boho style) and a solid product range are great starting points. But right now the design feels a bit basic and doesn’t yet communicate the brand personality or give customers a reason to stay and explore. A stronger visual identity can help boost trust and conversions.
Design & Visual Improvements
1. Improve your homepage hero / banner
Right now you jump straight into products. Adding a hero section with a branded image and clear value message (e.g., “Western & Boho Style Curated for You”) would help hook visitors immediately.
2. Use consistent imagery & quality photos
Right now some of the product images look nice, but consistency in background, lighting, and style will make the whole site feel more professional. Compressed high‑quality images also help speed.
3. Add brand personality
Think about brand colors, a logo in the header, cohesive fonts, and custom icons this makes your store feel less “generic” and more on brand.
4. Use whitespace and hierarchy
Spacing between elements and clear typography helps users scan faster and reduces clutter. Avoid too many different fonts/styles.
Navigation & Structure
5. Simplify navigation
Your menu is quite long with categories nested in the dropdowns — limiting main links to 4–6 core ones and using clean labels will cut down confusion.
6. Add filters & a visible search bar
Make it easy for users to find products by size, price range, category — not just scrolling through everything.
Functionality & UX
7. Trust & credibility signals
Your store says “Customers rate us 5.0/5…” that’s great, but adding more visible reviews on product pages or on the homepage increases trust and conversions.
8. Mobile optimisation
Most customers will shop on phones make sure buttons are easy to tap, spacing works on small screens, and navigation doesn’t feel crowded.
9. Site speed & performance
Optimise images and remove any unnecessary apps or large files. Faster load times help ranking and keep people from bouncing.
Conversion Boosters
10. Clear CTAs (Call‑to‑action)
Buttons like “Shop New Arrivals” or “Explore Western Collection” should be high‑contrast and obvious so users know exactly where to click next.
11. Add social proof & urgency
Features like limited‑time banners (e.g., “Only 3 left!”) or popups for discounts can increase engagement but use sparingly so you don’t annoy visitors.
12. FAQs & policies
Make sure you have clear shipping, returns, contact, and FAQs accessible these cut down hesitation at checkout.
Cannot scroll your products, please add an automatic scrollable system or a button to click and let customers scroll the products.
I see a button down, but it’s way too small.
Also, align it properly with the store. It’s currently on the left
Good collection section. I dig this.
Also, add a slide cart drawer. I need to manage my cart, but I’m going to the full cart page a lot, and that distracts me from the product page.
Essential, Qikify, and iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell are all great apps that help you add customizable slide carts to your store. Your customers can manage your orders really well.
Add a hero section with your logo, and please place it well. Currently, it looks very, very odd. Use ChatGPT to add some lines here and work on your logo patch; the color looks very odd.
I did a lot of adjustments would you mind taking another look?
Hi @countryjourney
Here are some improvements that need to do please look into it.
- Adjust the logo size and enhance the header design.
- Add a “Featured Collection” section with a slider layout.
- Implement a slider for the collection section on the homepage as well.
- Improve the design of the newsletter section on the homepage.
- Enable sorting and filtering options on the collection page.
- Redesign the product page by using a thumbnail slider instead of stacked images, and set both columns to 50% width for a cleaner layout.
Thanks.
Hi @countryjourney ,
I hope you have got sufficient suggestion for improvement on website.
So kindly let me know If you think some help is needed further
Best of luck with your store.
Good Day

I did some major improvements but needing another critique
Hey, @countryjourney
I took a look at your site - you’ve got a solid start, but there are a few specific areas you can improve both visually and functionally.
- Simplify Navigation
15+ nav items are overwhelming on mobile. Group into clean categories like Women’s, Accessories, and Home & Lifestyle with dropdowns - shoppers should find what they want in seconds.
- Strengthen Your Hero Section
“Where the West Meets Boho” sets the vibe well but adds a stronger CTA like “Shop the Latest Collection” - give visitors a clear next step immediately.
- Standardize Collection Images
Some thumbnails are different sizes making the grid look uneven. Set all collection images to the same dimensions for a cleaner, more professional look.
- Add Trust Elements on Product Pages
Add a size guide, a short shipping info line near Add to Cart, and a simple returns guarantee - these small additions reduce hesitation and increase conversions significantly.
- Encourage Photo Reviews
You have 9 reviews which is a great start. Ask customers for photo reviews - visual social proof converts much better for boutique fashion.
- Improve Page Speed
I ran your store through Google PageSpeed Insights and your LCP is 6.6s which is critical - most shoppers will leave before the page even loads. Fix this by compressing all product images to WebP, removing unused Shopify apps, and optimizing your hero image.
For a quicker no-code fix, Website Speedy on the Shopify App Store handles most of the speed optimization automatically - completely optional.(Disclaimer: I’m affiliated with this app.)
Overall you have a strong niche and beautiful products - these tweaks will help turn more visitors into buyers.
Hope this helps!
Thank you so much for the critique, I really appreciate it
You are doing fantastic!
Might I also suggest a humble opinion in the mix?
You may want to put your text into languagetool.com to assist with grammar and punctuation. You could also consult with a proofreader/editor, which would reduce your workload.
For instance:
hand burned should by hyphenated: hand-burned
one of a kind should be hyphenated: one-of-a-kind
-
This appears to be a run-on description:
Taupe burned fedora cowboy hat Jessie Murph inspired
It could use some capitalization and spacing/line breaks. So, just as an idea, it could look something like this:
Taupe hand-burned fedora-style cowboy hat, Jessie Murph–inspired
or
Fedora-style Cowboy Hat
Inspired by Jessie Murph
(It took me several times of reading it to grasp exactly what it was, based on the description you’ve currently got on your site. So it may be problematic for others landing on your page.)
-
Lastly, capitalization should be consistent among the product names - to be more visually pleasing (and to also be technically proper). However, this is not necessarily quite as crucial as the other changes that should be made.
Handbags, purses, duffle bags should be: Handbags, Purses, Duffle Bags
Home goods and decor should be: Home Goods and Decor
Travel cases should be: Travel Cases
etc., etc., etc.
Best of luck!

I ran your site through a few tools I regularly use like Kopi AI, Convertmate’s store analyzer, Eryn Tech’s free shopify audit tool, and also ran through a small checklist I have and came up with this list for you to peruse!
- First off, this is a GREAT start for the site, despite there being a lot of room for your site to be polished.
- You’ve got no text in your only H1 tag on the homepage! Your H1 currently wraps your logo, but your wasting valuable real estate for Google since H1 tags give one of the strongest signals for on-page ranking.
- You’ve still got some untitled products linked on homepage. Definitely start working on the rest of your catalog!
- You’ve got duplicate
<meta>tags for description. Make sure you remove the duplicate so you get to pick the exact one you’d like Google to see. - Your
og:imagetag is using HTTP. Some platforms reject insecure URLs so make sure it’s usinghttps:// twitter:imageis absent! When users share your site via Twitter, it won’t have an image. It’s a good idea to make sure that’s set.- Your Spotlight theme and the SEO Booster app both output an Organization and WebSite schema block. Google might ignore them or flag it, so disable schema output from one or the other.
- Your theme’s Organization schema shows
[“”, “``https://facebook.com/…”``, “”, “”, “”]. Empty strings are invalid so clean that up. - Your homepage has links to some pages like
/collections/beauty-care/Beauty-products+beauty-accessoriesbut yourrobots.txthas aDisallow: /collections/*+*rule so these pages can’t be indexed. - Product page meta descriptions are currently truncated. Might be a template or app output bug.
- Two duplicate New Arrivals collections
/collections/new-arrivalsand/collections/new-arrivals-1are both linked. Pick one, redirect the other, consolidate link equity. - You have some products where the URL slug is mismatched from the actual product’s title.
- All your images are jpg or png. Try to use WebP. Shopify supports WebP via URL parameters which can reduce image payload by 25% to 35% on average.
Feel free to investigate some of these on your own and if you need any help, I’d be happy to assist you with talking through some of these fixes if necessary!
Great job so far though!
first thing, get off the myshopify.com domain. $12/year for a real .com and it’s the single biggest trust signal you can add. right now it looks temporary, which makes people hesitant to put in their card info.
the logo is way too big, it’s eating like a quarter of the screen on desktop. shrink that down and add a proper hero banner that shows someone actually wearing your clothes. western/boho fashion is all about the vibe and lifestyle, so your homepage needs to sell that feeling in the first 2 seconds. right now it’s just a grid of products with no story.
