If you’re a small store, I’d start with a free-plan option rather than paying for a full tracking platform right away.
17TRACK and Track123 both currently have free plans on Shopify, and there are several other free/free-install options too.

For a tiny shop with limited funds, I’d just start with Shopify’s native order status and tracking features before bringing on an app. You can also browse the Shopify App Store for tracking solution that is within your budget and compare their free plans, orders limits and carrier support. And if your primary purpose is just to allow your customers to track shipment updates, the native order status page on Shopify may just be what you need without having to add another monthly fee.
