Looking for Shopify App for to build a meal plan with subscription

Hello Friends,

I am looking for the Shopify app that builds a weekly meal plan with a subscription.

Please look at this reference website https://otrmeals.com/

For ref:- use postal code M1S 3L1 to view the entire flow

Please suggest an app or idea that will achieve similar functionality

Thanks

hello @Jay_RW

we can build something like that if needed

We’ll need to build a custom feature along with a subscription-based app for this.

The plan is to create a separate collection for each meal type and implement subscriptions for individual products.

Feel free to let me know if you require a detailed flow.

Thanks

Hi @Jay_RW ,

Hello @Jay_RW ,

I understand that you’re looking to set up a weekly meal plan subscription, similar to the example on the reference site you provided.

To better assist you, it would be helpful to know more about your specific subscription model (e.g., do you want weekly or monthly options?) and whether you’re looking for any specific features like discount codes or flexible payment terms.

In the meantime, you might want to check out the miniOrange Subscription Management application. We’ve worked with customers who had similar requirements, offering subscription plans for various types of products. The app is free to install, so you can try it out and see if it fits your needs.

The app also allows you to offer discounts on subscription plans, whether it’s for weekly or monthly subscriptions, giving you flexibility in how you engage with your customers.

You can try our app: https://apps.shopify.com/jtdl-bundles-discounts
It offers features such as Build Your Own Bundles, Quantity Breaks, and lets your customers mix and match products to create custom sets—perfect for meal deals, beauty kits, outfit bundles, and more.

For weekly subscriptions, our widget is also compatible with Recharge and other subscription apps.

Hi @Jay_RW :raising_hands:

This is a fairly common use case for meal prep businesses where customers can build their own meal plan based on their preferences and subscribe to recurring weekly deliveries. You can achieve a similar setup by combining Easify Box Bundle Builder BYOB for the meal selection experience and Appstle Subscription for recurring billing.

I’ve created a sample setup so you can see how it works:

  • This is the result:

First, in Easify Box Builder, create a new box and select the Regular Box type. Then, add all of your meal options to the box so customers can freely mix and match meals based on their preferences. The interface will display the available meals along with quantity increase/decrease buttons, allowing customers to choose exactly how many servings they want.

  • This is the app setting:

Next, if you’d like to require a minimum number of meals per week, you can configure this in the Required Selections section. Simply go to Edit Conditions and create a rule such as Quantity is greater than or equal to 5. This ensures customers cannot proceed until they have selected at least 5 meals.

Finally, to enable recurring subscriptions, create or edit a Selling Plan in Appstle Subscription and set the billing frequency to Every 1 Week. Then, attach this selling plan to the box product created with Easify Box Builder. When customers choose the subscription option, their orders will automatically renew and be billed weekly according to your settings.

With this combination, you can provide a flexible meal selection experience, enforce weekly minimum order requirements, and automate recurring subscriptions in a streamlined way without needing custom development. If you’d like to recreate a flow closer to the reference site, I’d be happy to help with the setup and configuration as well.
