So my site sells a bunch of different items in a niche market.
One option I have is to bundle a few of these items together to sell ‘pre-made’
Is there an option or an app I can use to sync in these bundle packs to their indiviual items on the site for stock tracking purposes. So for example if someone buys bundle A - product 1’s stock is lowered by 2 and product 2’s stock is lowered by 3 etc.
Also, is there an app or option for there to be a choice in the bundle between certain items. For example, bundle B has 4 different items included, but 1 of those items has a choice of two to select from.
I think all bundle apps should update stock automatically. Here’s a help center article. Shopify has a free bundles app, but if you want the customer to be able to make choices within the bundle (what the docs call “mix-and-match”), the free app doesn’t have that and you need one of the bundle apps from the app store.
What you’re likely after is a bundle app that creates bundles using the Product Bundles functionality.
When bundles are created using this method, it’s only the individual component items inside the bundle that appear on the final order. This means you don’t need to worry about syncing inventory, as the individual variants are directly purchased and decremented. The ‘parent’ bundle product is never purchased, and stock is validated against the individual items inside the bundle directly during checkout.

This would be a mix-and-match bundle and would need a third party bundle app (though you might be able to use product options to get around this inside the free Shopify Bundles app, but it won’t be as ‘neat’)
