Lost a bought domain after reopening my store

I opened my store last year on September 30th and ran it till May of this year when I closed it due to some things popping up in my life outside of work.

I went to reopen my store a couple of days ago thinking everything would be the same as it was before closing (as shopify saves all your store information for 2 years), but my domain wasn’t connected to the store even though it was still my domain til September of this year (even further if I’d extend it).

I tried to reconnect my domain but it keeps on saying that it’s linked to another store even though I never opened a store with the same domain.

Is anybody else having this issue?

I have already contacted support but it’s been 4 days without a single new information shared. I’ve been left in the dark.

That’s why I’m asking if anybody else has experienced the same issue.
