The new dashboard made it much more difficult to easily see my daily sales on the PoS and online store. I have to hover over an icon, then see a graph, then hover over a bar in the graph to see daily sales. Seems like a waste of time.
Is there a way to customize the dashboard (or just revert to the old one, which worked well for me?)
You are not alone, I found the new dashboard less intuitive too. Unfortunately, as far as I know, Shopify does not currently let you switch back to the old dashboard or fully customize the layout.
For now, the best workaround is to use the Analytics reports or pin the reports you check most often. Hopefully Shopify adds more dashboard customization in a future update, as a lot of merchants seem to be asking for it.

Really frustrating, and you are not alone!
Look for a Switch to classic admin link at the very bottom of your admin page to go back to the old version.
For a quicker fix, go to Analytics, then Reports, then Sales, and set the date to Today. Bookmark that page and go straight there every morning instead of using the dashboard.
Hope Shopify fixes this soon!
Thanks, that’s a helpful workaround. Still surprising that Shopify doesn’t let you just configure your Dashboard the way you want it. I can’t imagine all stores do the same thing, the same way.
