Low sales. Tried everything for 3 months.

Can anyone help me out here. The shop is just over 3 months old. I paid a pretty good price to have the design done. I have had some backlinks done and other SEO, more backlinks are in the works but will probably take weeks or months more to be indexed. I have spent over $1,000 on Google Ads, I have done Facebook Ads, I am now doing Instagram Ads. I tried several influencers, but found most of them had fake followers. With IG ads I am getting 200+ visits a day. All totaled I probably have $3-4k or more invested. I have done probably $200 in sales. I keep figuring something has got to give sooner or later, but so far nothing.

Can anyone identify what I might be doing wrong?

Any one at all? Any ideas?

Hi @ParadiseIncense ,

I’m Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder.

I understand that running ads and receiving unexpected results can be daunting. After reviewing your store, I have some suggestions to optimize it further.

1. Optimize your site’s first look

I would like to address three points related to the hero banner:

  • Number 1: Refine the “Shop Now” Button:
Consider being more specific. For instance, replace “Shop Now” with a more detailed menu, listing “Incense Burners,” “Incense Holders,” “Incense Cones,” and “Incense Sticks.”
→ This will provide clear, concise information about your core products to your visitors.
  • Number 2: Enhance the CTA Button
“Inspire your soul” is a beautiful sentiment, but it might be too broad for a CTA related to purchasing. Consider a more direct prompt like, “Shop Now.”
  • Number 3: Create More Specific Headings and Subheadings
For commercial purposes, consider headings and subheadings that steer visitors towards making purchases. For example:

→ Heading: Find the Perfect Incense…
Subheading: Brighten Up Your Soul
→ Heading: Divine Aromas: Elevate Your Senses
Sub-Heading: Premium Incense Burners & Exquisite Holders for an Enchanting Aromatic Experience.

→ Heading: Incense Elegance Store

Sub-Heading: Shop Premium Burners & Holders!

  • Number 4: Use high-contrasting colors
It’s a brilliant idea to boost sales with a discount offer. However, you can enhance readability by using colors that stand out, like black and yellow, to help visitors quickly scan and read the content.

2. Optimize your collection page

I would like to share two suggestions for this page:

  • Divide products into different categories → Help visitors quickly find what they want and get important information about your products.
  • Sort by price/categories/discounts instead of alphabetically.

3. Optimize the product Page

I’ve observed that there’s room to optimize your product page by incorporating additional details and presenting information in an easy-to-scan manner. For instance:

  • Establish a separate section to highlight the product’s special features, ingredients, and so on.

  • Add a testimonial section to increase your store’s credibility

  • Run a promotional campaign to boost sales. Some major holidays are approaching, such as BFCM, Christmas,… Plan and create a separate section for holiday-specific merchandise on the website and in-store displays, highlighting deals and offers exclusive to these holidays.

  • Add a submission form to your store to collect visitor data, which can be saved for the future campaigns.

Please let me know if you find these suggestions helpful. I wish you all the best in your endeavors.

Cheers,

Kate | PageFly team

Hello @ParadiseIncense , this is Ryan from BIZNAZZ101.
Well done on getting your store started! Seems like you are on the right track overall.

I’m happy to offer you my suggestions to further enhance your stores design. I hope my ideas will help take your store to new heights and convert visitors into customers. Some ideas for your store:

- I would try and find a better pic for the landing page hero section and maybe add a border to the CTA button so it stands out more.

-The additional options and pop-ups are somewhat overwhelming, and can have a diminishing effect rather than enhancing the store I would consider removing or adjusting them with code

-The only other thing I can think that could be contributing are poorly targeted ads (always recommend having someone with experience set these up at first, then can tweak as needed), or the length of the domain name. Generally speaking, a shorter domain name that is easy to remember is best but that shouldn’t make a significant difference.

I hope this will be helpful to you.
Good luck!
