I bought a MacBookPro which is second hand from BackMarket and I have no clue about who was the previous owner, but I’m having this problem where I can’t open my Apple ID and profiles or neither open the AppStore or install the applications I want. At boot it shows that “THIS MAC IS SUPERVISED AND MANAGED BY: SHOPIFY INC”.
It used to be a Shopify and y’all forgot to remove this device from your servers, I’m having so much trouble related to this I can’t access anything. Rebooting everything doesn’t change anything and impossible to remove the JamfProtection app that locks pretty much everything.
Shopify please reply to this message and help me with it I would be really grateful.
Shopify hasn’t been able to do anything for me, because the computer is said as “lost” so not in their database…
How did I end up buying a lost/stolen American computer on an official refurbish European website ? I don’t know, but it’s too bad they are locked in the first place, stupid policy
I’m having the same trouble here! my brother worked for the company but was let off in 2020 or 2021. He was allowed to keep his MacBook given to him by the company, but unfortunately it’s still locked to Shopify.
The laptop was given to me for school but it has become difficult to use the MacBook due to their being so many locks and restrictions put on the laptop through device manager. I was hoping there was a way Shopify can help support unlocking this device. This is terribly frustrating!
