Made an order now website has been taken down

Hello,

not sure if anybody can help me. I made an order on a shopify backed website a couple of weeks ago. Received the confirmation email. A couple of days later I hadn’t heard anything so I checked the link on the confirmation email and it says the website has been removed!!

tried to get through to somebody at shopify but that’s impossible at best. The automated chat just says to speak to the seller. This obviously isn’t possible because there is no longer a website and the email address at the bottom of the confirmation email is just a @proton.me website which I get no reply from and isn’t traceable.

im getting a bit concerned as I’ve spent a lot of money on this order which is clearly non existent. Can somebody point me in the right direction please? :folded_hands:t2:

Shopify Support provides technical troubleshooting to websites that use our software services to power their businesses. We are not, however, involved with order or store management. As such, we do not provide order support, nor can we check if a business in fact used our services.

With that being said, if it was a store hosted on Shopify and is no longer visible it is very likely it has already been identified and shut down as a possible bad actor. If you have been unable to resolve the issue with the merchant, then the next best step is to connect with your bank or credit card provider. They do have protocols in place to protect with online shopping and help you reclaim your funds.
