Main menu issues and coding

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner initially reported menu navigation problems after adding Dripshipper, where clicking ‘Coffee’ redirected to the main menu instead of showing products. Custom code changes were suspected as a potential cause.

Resolution of Menu Issue:

  • Another user shared a helpful community thread about making parent menu items clickable when submenus are present
  • The original poster resolved the initial menu navigation problem independently

New Issue Identified:

  • The actual problem is with product fulfillment settings: coffee and tea items incorrectly show “pick up only” instead of shipping options
  • There’s no option to designate products as “physical item” for Dripshipper fulfillment
  • Dripshipper customer service is currently working on resolving this fulfillment configuration issue

Status: The menu issue is resolved, but the shipping/fulfillment problem remains open and is being handled by Dripshipper support.

Hello Shopify Community/Experts,

I hope this message finds you well! My name is Sydney, and I am experiencing some issues with my Shopify store’s menu and product links.

Recently, I added Dripshipper to my store and noticed that my main menu is not functioning correctly. Specifically, when I click on the ‘Coffee’ menu item, it redirects me back to the main menu instead of displaying the coffee products. I have checked the collection settings and ensured that products are added to the ‘Coffee’ collection, but the issue persists.

Additionally, I have made some custom code changes to my theme, which may have contributed to this problem. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to resolve these menu issues and ensure that my product links work correctly.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards, Sydney

Thanks for bringing this up I had a similar issue where parent menu items wouldn’t open properly when submenus were present. What helped me was this thread: Navigation Menu Parent item not clickable. It explains how to make parent links clickable again without breaking the dropdown.

I just checked and your menu is working completely fine, can you maybe elaborate the exact issue please?

Moeed
