Make all products display the same size images.

Topic summary

Main issue: After migrating thousands of products, product pages show inconsistent image sizes in Dawn 15.0. Code tweaks found online and cache clearing did not fix it.

Key details:

  • Theme: Dawn 15.0.
  • Problem: Mixed image dimensions/aspect ratios cause uneven display.

Advice offered:

  • Most reliable fix is to standardize the source images to consistent sizes and aspect ratios (width:height), especially for multi‑channel use. Theme-based cropping will cut off parts of tall or wide images and won’t help on external channels.
  • Requested more context (e.g., store URL, examples) for targeted help; paid services offered.

Latest update:

  • Original poster replied, “No, I have paid the annual subscription,” without providing further technical details or examples.

Status:

  • Unresolved/ongoing. Actionable paths are either: normalize all product images at the source, or share specific examples for potential theme customization guidance.

I just transferred thousand products into shopify from another site. The product page displays images with different sizes. In the past few hours, I tried to edit code by using various methods found online. While others say the code fixed their problem, it didn’t fix mine. I did clear the cache. Please help. I am using Dawn 15.0 version.

Thank you.

Hi @hawkridgefc :waving_hand: editing the images themselves to be consistent sizes and aspect-ratios is generally the most reliable method to handle this.

Especially if the store is multi-channel as otherwise a theme can be customized but then on social media, or third party marketplaces the images will still all be inconsistent.

With theme customizations tall or wide images will typically ALL get the lower and side parts cropped.
