Make each subcategory collection list on its own

Topic summary

  • Issue: Adding a “collection list” to one subcategory also appears on all other categories. The requester wants each category/subcategory to have its own distinct collection list, without creating separate pages for each (they mentioned this could be 1,928 pages).

  • Setup/Steps: Categories and subcategories were created via the site’s navigation. Changing or adding products to one category propagates to every category, which is not the desired behavior.

  • Clarification request: Another participant asked how the collection list was added and requested step-by-step screenshots to diagnose the issue.

  • Key terms: “Collection list” refers to a block/section that displays collections on category pages. “Categories/subcategories” are set up through the navigation menu.

  • Status: No resolution yet. The conversation is awaiting screenshots/implementation details to identify why the same collection list applies globally and how to scope it per category.

  • Next steps: Provide screenshots and detailed steps of how the collection list was added/configured so others can suggest a per-category setup without creating thousands of separate pages.

Hi!

I have a problem with my menu listings.

If i add a collection list to one of my sub categories it adds it on all my categories? how can i make each category on its own? do i have to make a page for each category i have?? it will be 1928 pages? is there no way to disable so it adds same collection to all my categories?

Thank you

How did you add? Could you take screenshot steps of step to check?

I added the categories and subcategories through the navigation. But when ever i change or add prodcuts to 1 of the categories it adds it to each and every category. Does that make sense?
