Make images clickable links in Dawn 9.0.0 multicolumn

Hello, I am trying to make images work as clickable links in the Dawn 9.0.0 theme multicolumn section. The link entry in the settings does not seem to work. I have seen solutions for older versions of Dawn, but they are not working with 9.0.0. Thanks!
