Make Menu stand above, and not overlaying slideshow

Hello :slight_smile: Anyone has an idea of how I can get the header menu placed above the slideshow picture and not overlaying it?

What theme are you using? Could you share the link to your store?
Or you can find and turn off the Transparent header option in your theme.

Your website is using the Prestige theme and the theme itself has an option to disable the transparent header.

  1. Go to theme editor
  2. Click on your first section which is probably “Slideshow”
  3. Turn off Allow Transparent Header

thank you. I can’t get the menu text change color, I have tried both custom css and theme settings. they remain white. any ideas?

Are you working on a draft theme? If yes, then can you share the preview URL of the draft theme?

That’s still the URL of your live theme, once you preview the draft theme then you find an option called “Share Preview”

that’s what I did, see that id did not work .. is there any place here I can upload a screenshot?

For the menu text staying white: in Prestige that colour does not come from CSS, it comes from the Color scheme on the Header section. That is why custom CSS and the general theme settings did not move it.

  • Customize > Header, under Header group.
  • Color scheme sits at the top of the panel. Pick the swatch whose text colour you want. The menu, the icons and the logo all follow it.

  • If none of the swatches fit, click Edit scheme and change Body text. Careful, that scheme is shared, so every other section using it changes too. Picking a different swatch is the safer move.

  • The announcement bar above the header has its own Color scheme, so set that one separately.

Two things worth knowing now that the see-through header is off:

  • Your white logo swaps back to the dark one on its own. You have both uploaded, and Prestige only uses the white one while the header is see-through.
  • The slide does not get taller. Prestige trims the first slide by the height of the header, so your hero still fills exactly one screen.

Tested on a Prestige store.
