Making an entire image a path to a collection

Hi,

I’m trying to create a section that in essence is one image spanning the entire width of the page and have settled on Image Banner for this. What I want is for the entire image I’ve created and saved to be ‘clickable’ with a path leading off to one of my collections, but there’s no click through option.

Is there another section that would be better suited?

I don’t want to add any text or anything other than one large image but it has to be able to be set up as link.

Any ideas?

TIA

HI @SnootLoot ,

Can you please explain clearly more about what you want implement?
If possible can you describer with an image, or give the url of site, then i will check and provide the solution for you.

Thanks!

Hi,

I’ve inserted the image I want to use below.

I want the image to form a whole section on the front page and allow the entire image to act as a link through to the relevant page which will be a subscription sign up page (not yet set up). Currently set up as a banner but this doesn’t allow link through to elsewhere on the site so probably not the solution for me.

I’ve added several ‘Add Section’ elements but none of them allow a single page spanning image that can be set up with a link to another destination (apologies for my lack of technical language), a different page or collection.

I’m still on the trial version (day 4) of Shopify as I’m evaluating functionality but it’s much more advanced and customisable than my existing ecommerce platform, I’m all but certain to upgrade. Still coming to terms with certain functionality and the eco system.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Chris

Follow my understanding,
You have a banner with logo 1,2,3.
And you want add the link to logo 3 have the button, and that link will go to other page when user click into button, right?
You just want use big banner for site?

Ideally, I’d like to use the whole image to click through to another page as it is one single png file created elsewhere (Canva) and the three logo boxes you highlighted above are not individual boxes but all one image. The click here was a nice graphic for aesthetic purposes.

Hi @SnootLoot ,

If that, you just add a link tag, it will wrapper the image, and you set the link to the page you want.

Example:

Let me know if you have any the question regarding this topic or customize code.

Thanks!

Long time since I’ve written any code and even longer for HTML, but I’ll give it a go. What could possibly go wrong?!? Thanks, I’ll give it a try.
