Making customers be able to login onto multiple stores with one account

What I like to do

I’d like to make shop A and B. (Because they are different services and have each checkout method.)

Since they are on same company, we want customers to be able to login both websites with one customer account.

If customer can see their orders from shop A and B at same time, that’d be nice.

My Question

If I import customers data from shop A to B. Are they going to be a “new” customer for B? Or when they login to B, they can see their order history from Shop A?

Thanks,

Hiro

If I import customers data from shop A to B. Are they going to be a “new” customer for B?

Yes. They are two different shops with their own isolated content such as themes, products and customers.

Or when they login to B, they can see their order history from Shop A?

No, they would only see - by default - the orders the customer made on that shop. Now that’s not to say you couldn’t create a tool (or use one) that syncs orders between shops but you’d need to work out if it makes sense from a business and privacy standpoint.

Hi Jason, do you have any suggestion for tools that can sync login information across multiple sites owned by the company when created on one of the sites at the time of creation. Also, order information would have to sync across sites as well.
