Making site more customer friendly by myself

I haven’t made sales in a long time, and I just want to make my site way more manageable and friendly for customers. I want to start getting sales again and make better designs. But I don’t want to spend a lot of money on the actual site. The little money I have, I wanna get better designs for t-shirts and these kinds of things.

What are some very simple things that I can do to improve my Shopify site?

Hi Mark,

I’m Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder.

I recently reviewed your website, and you did a great job to build such an elegant store! I’d like to share some recommendations to enhance its design and conversion rate:

  1. Homepage:
  • Above-the-Fold CTA: You should position a compelling CTA above the fold so that visitors see it without scrolling. This approach can lead to higher engagement rates.

  • Benefit Bar: Introduce a benefit bar at the top of the homepage instead of “Welcome to our store” highlighting key value propositions such as free shipping, quality guarantees, or unique selling points. Displaying benefits above the fold addresses common customer questions and pain points.
  1. Product page
  • Product description: Utilize detailed size charts and descriptions for products to make it easier for users to choose the products they want and provide a clear representation of the items as well as enhancing credibility. See example:

  • SALE/best seller badge: Adding a sale badge can motivate users to make quick purchases. The easier decision-making, the more sales.

  1. Trust and Credibility:
  • Trust Badges: Display trust seals, such as SSL certificates or payment method icons, especially during the checkout process, to reassure customers about the security of their transactions.

  • Testimonials: By featuring genuine customer testimonials on the homepage or product pages, you can build trust and provide insights into customer satisfaction.

These changes will improve user experience, build trust, and guide visitors toward making a purchase. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out!

Best regards,

Kate

Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands for website design and set-up. I have viewed your site and hope our expertise can help you.

To enhance your Shopify site, you can consider focusing on a few key areas that can lead to improved sales. First, the overall design of your website could benefit from a more polished look. This includes using higher-quality images for your products on the home page and ensuring that your layout is clean and attractive. The images for products on the home page now are blurred and unclear.

I would also suggest redesigning your hero section and including a call to action button. Instead of just showing the open image alone, consider showing other content that can elaborate the style of your brand, and the call to action could encourage visitors to take a deeper look at your website.

Furthermore, to help you start getting more sales under a limited budget effectively, I would suggest implementing a retargeting strategy. It would help you reach out to visitors who visited your site recently but didn’t complete their purchases and encourage them to return by showing retargeting ads. Our Ako marketing app can help you launch retargeting ads effectively and it includes a CRM dashboard which can help your site become way more manageable. Integrating with the app can create a more inviting shopping experience that encourages conversions and fosters long-term expansion.

Best wishes! If you have any more questions or need a free professional consultation, feel free to let us know! Don’t forget to like and mark it as a solution if you find this helpful.

Hi @mark16 ! I’m Tracy from BON Loyalty, the top-rated Shopify loyalty app.

After visiting your store, I noticed a few budget-friendly improvements that could make a big difference in creating a more professional and trustworthy customer experience. Here are some suggestions you can implement right away:

1. Add a favicon
A favicon (the small logo that appears in browser tabs) enhances brand recognition and makes your store look more professional and trustworthy. You can set it up quickly in your Theme Settings.

2. Fix broken images for featured products
Currently, the images for featured products on your homepage are broken. This gives the site a “suspicious” feel, which might discourage potential customers from exploring further. Fixing these images will improve first impressions and build trust.

3. Offer small incentives to build initial customer trust
Since you’re starting out without many (or any) reviews, the site might seem less credible to new visitors. Consider offering a small incentive like:

  • 5% off on the first order
  • 10% off on the next order

Promote these offers in the announcement bar and make it “sticky” (so it stays visible as customers scroll). This strategy not only helps attract your first customers but also encourages them to leave reviews, building your social proof.

These updates are simple and affordable yet can make a noticeable impact on your store’s performance and customer perception. Let me know if you’d like more guidance or support with any of these!

If you find these suggestions helpful for you, please let me know by giving BON Loyalty a ‘LIKE’ or marking it as a ‘SOLUTION’.
