Hi. I want to create a P2P rental websites using shopify, but I don’t want to use storefront and Shopify apps, I just want to use Shopify API and build the frontend myself.
Is there a way to manage availability of products to be able to control rented dates of a product using API? can I use Shopify for such a use case?

With rentals you are adding an extra dimension to inventory management - i.e. managing the dates when items are booked (or blacked out). There is nothing in Shopify that supports this so you’ll need to add that part yourself.
can I use Shopify for such a use case?
Many merchants are successfully running rental stores (using our App) so I’d say Shopify can be used for these types of scenarios.
