Hi. I’m having this issue where when a product sells. market place connect will turn the inventory on shopify to zero. but then on eBay it relists the product as having 1 stock and actively available. Am I missing something to make this work properly? Thank you! Im looking to have market place connect either mark the ebay listing as zero available or remove it. im unsure why its making new listings.
Topic summary
Multiple users report a critical inventory synchronization bug with the Market Place Connect app when integrating Shopify with eBay.
The Problem:
- When a product sells, the app correctly sets Shopify inventory to zero
- However, it then automatically relists the item on eBay with 1 unit in stock
- This causes duplicate sales of items that are actually out of stock
Expected Behavior:
Users want the app to either set eBay inventory to zero or remove the listing entirely when stock depletes, rather than creating new listings.
Current Status:
- One user submitted a support ticket to the app’s helpdesk
- An eBay representative confirmed the issue likely stems from the third-party app connection
- No resolution has been shared yet
- The discussion remains open with frustrated users seeking a fix
The screenshots show the inventory discrepancy between platforms, illustrating the synchronization failure.
Hi, we seem o be having the same issue which is extremely annoying as items sell twice on eBay even though we only have one of each. Did you find a solution for this? eBay rep confirmed that this is most likely caused by third party connected app and it started happening when we opened a Shopify store and connected it.
I am also having this issue. I just submitted a support ticket to the app helpdesk and will let you know if there is any resolution.
Same issue - did anyone find a way to fix this?
What did support say?
This problem is still occurring! What kind of garbage QA process would allow an app to be released with such a glaring flaw in it’s core functionality?!
