Our company has been using Marketplace Connect (formerly Codisto) to integrate listings to eBay. For as long as I can remember, if the word “used” is anywhere in an item’s description, the integration changes it to to “uséd” when submitted to eBay. The “e” is getting that mark added above it.
I see other eBay listings which have the same “uséd”, which has made it apparent others are facing the same issue.
We’ve contacted support about this in the past and they’ve said there is no way to fix it, but this seems crazy.
It could provide buyers with an incorrect impression that we are not located in an English speaking country.
Why is this happening, and is there really no way to fix it?
