I have had my Shopify e-commerce store for about 5 years where I strictly sold physical products for shipping. As my beauty business has grown, I am now able to offer skincare services and I am having trouble designing my website seamlessly. I want to offer a simple user experience for my customers and clients, however I do not know how to do so.
So far I have added the Appointo Shopify app for appointment booking. It has changed the button from “add to cart” to “schedule appointment” for my service listings however I would like a separate “check out” process for services vs. product orders where I have the flexibility to request a deposit OR just request that clients pay in full at booking (which is how it is set up now).
Additionally, I would like a full page on my website dedicated to booking services where clients and customers could go to learn about my services and book from that page. I would also like to link that page to my business card QR code when networking. I thought I created a page to house this new addition, but it seems there must be something I did wrong. When I click the “Book Appointment” link from my main header, it takes me to a page, but does not show my service listings. I reached out to Shopify support and received some directions via email and followed them, asked the rep to double check if I did it correctly and he said it was all good. Then I went to check myself to access the page and again… nothing. No services listed. There is no access to speaking to someone over the phone for a clear walkthrough the way Shopify used to be … so I am now very stuck. And it is affecting my business and ability to book and service my potential clients.
Lastly, I would like to get this figured out soon because I have many ideas to expand my business and offer more things like digital products and apparel merch for my brand, but if I cannot seamlessly house all of these things on my website it is a hinderance. I’m thinking I may have to look at a new host because I am not sure if Shopify is capable of doing what I need at this point.
If anyone has ANY advice, step by step instructions, or a contact to speak with someone from Shopify directly, that would be greatly appreciated!
