I’ve must have done something wrong. I exported a csv file of 2 product listing on my Shopify store. Merged them into a single product and important the csv file back into Shopify. The new listing looks perfect and as expected, so I deleted the 2 source listings. Checked again and the new listing still looked perfect…
But, the new listing is not showing it’s connected to printful. I used all the original skus and product IDs. CSV shows printful as the inventory partner. I’ve refreshed the syncing manually, and it’s been about 8 hours. Trying to figure out what I may have done wrong, and what the correct steps are for merging printful products into a single listing should be.
Great question! Oftentimes, when it comes to dropshipping or print on demand (indeed any app through which you source suppliers) you cannot use CSVs as they will break the sync between your Shopify store and the app.
However, I did find some workarounds to this listed in this very community forum, such as here and here. The first suggestion sounds promising:
Could you give that a go and let me know how you get on, please?
Also, I had a look at your store and want to congratulate you on how it is coming along so far! Please be sure to check out our Buyer Trust 101 community post as it outlines in great detail the elements that you need to make a robust, trustworthy-looking store to establish trust with your customers.
I would also highly recommend this store launch checklist and our SEO Checklist. Going through these when you feel you are ready to launch can be invaluable, allowing you to double-check that you haven’t missed any key features, just before you go live.
