This is nothing like my issue, im not trying to create an app, just accessing the code editor so I can change some theme code.

Thanks

I am having the same issue but with a different theme: Empire. It was working fine yesterday. Please let me know if you figure this out.

Also having this problem, but with the Dawn theme which started this afternoon.

Support just let me know to clear my browsing cache and data in Chrome and its working again.

I contacted support also. They said the same thing. Mine is working again now also.

I solved this problem by duplicating the theme. This bug happened when I downloaded the theme.

Friends, I just had this problem and, as the Gnk who commented suggested, clearing the cache history for the last 7 days on Chrome or whichever browser you are using solved the issue!

To clear the cache on Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of your Chrome window.
  2. Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Advanced”.
  4. Under the “Privacy and security” section, click on “Clear browsing data”.
  5. Select “Cached images and files” and choose the time range you want to clear (e.g. “Last 7 days”). Make sure the checkboxes for “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files” are checked, and uncheck all other boxes. Then click on the “Clear data” button and wait for the process to finish.
  6. Click on the “Clear data” button and wait for the process to finish.

Your cache will now be cleared for the selected time range.

Note: You can also access the “Clear browsing data” menu directly by pressing the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+Shift+Delete” (Windows and Linux) or “Command+Shift+Delete” (Mac).

Thx, it’s workes fine for me.

My first successful attempt was by duplicating the theme, but clearing the cache is working fine for me and it’s more straightforward (incognito mode can do the same job!)

Its absolute insanity that Shopify think they have the right to tell me to “Update my browser” or “Use a compatible browser” JUST TO ACCESS MY ADMIN AREA / THEME CODE. Literally the first thing any web developer learns is that the website should never dictate what software the end user is using to browse the site. The site should be built responsively and allow for all users to access it regardless of their browser (within reason).

YET for some reason Shopify think the opposite of basic web development rules… and tell me it is my fault for using an ‘old’ browser.

Its almost laughable how bad this is, especially when you consider that Im using Safari 15.4 - a version which is mere months old…

Hi,

I have the same issue on all product pages like https://www.perfectmakeupmirrors.com/collections/bathroom-sinks/products/whitehaus-polished-stainless-steel-drop-in-basin. You may search the source for "https://online-store-web.shopifyapps.com/pages/returns". I don’t know where this is coming from, but I want to get rid of it from the site. Please help.
